David Crockett Birthplace State Park A beautiful park, located along the Nolichucky River, keeping the flame of David Crockett burning!

This historical park has 80+ campsites, of which 40 are fully equipped. This park has a replica cabin and also has an 18th century farmstead. The 105 acre park also has opportunities for bass-fishing and other types of fishing. More information on this park and many more can be found at the TN State Parks website.

We have reached the end of National Photography Month! It's time to share our final Photographer Spotlight!

From Crockett Days to pint night fundraisers, parades, and flintlock competitions, her photos help preserve the park's exciting events and the warm human experiences captured throughout. Even though National Photography Month is coming to a close, please continue to visit our open Overlook Trail and shoals access during the day, and attend our Crockett Days event this year at the Doak House in Tusculum on August 8th and 9th for a weekend of fun and create life-long memories. Howdy Folks!

Be sure to come out and join us this evening at Rocky Mount State Historic Site for a Ranger led lecture about John Crockett and the Battle of Kings Mountain!

Gather around as we learn about what was happening over the mountains during the Revolutionary War.

Doors open at 5:30 and we’ll begin at 6:00. This program is free, but registration is required.

We’ll see y’all out on the Frontier!

📸 Our next Photographer Spotlight is on Robert Luna! Robert's eye-in-the-sky shots capture the magnificent landscape of the park. His photography has helped document several controlled burn projects in the park as well as assess flood reach immediately after Hurricane Helene. These photos reveal the power of nature and its impact on the land, offering viewers both perspective and appreciation for the landscape.
