🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ 🚨

It was just brought to my attention that someone is out there trying to scam our Wings & Wheels participants and patrons.

Please be aware that NO ONE from the Greenbrier Valley Airport or the Wings & Wheels team will be reaching out to anyone requesting payment before the event.

If you preregistered for the car show and have not yet paid, that's perfectly fine. We will take care of your registration payment when you arrive on Saturday. An email was sent to all preregistered participants with information about what to expect upon arrival.

To be absolutely clear: we will not contact you to collect payment.

The only payments we will be accepting will be in person on Saturday at the event. We can accept cash or card, but cash is preferred, and exact change is greatly appreciated.

If you receive a message, email, or phone call asking for payment before Saturday, please do not respond and do not send money. If you're unsure whether a communication is legitimate, contact us directly.

Thank you for helping us keep Wings & Wheels safe, enjoyable, and scam-free for everyone. Please share this post so others are aware.

The countdown is on! Wings & Wheels kicks off this Saturday at Greenbrier Valley Airport, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for a day full of aircraft, cars, live music, great food, and family fun. We're also excited to welcome Jeff Campbell and Buddy Bear, who will be broadcasting live from the event from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Now, all of that sounds pretty exciting... and it is! But before we get to the fun, let's cover the not-so-fun part—the rules. Since Wings & Wheels is being held inside the secured fence area of Greenbrier Valley Airport, there are a few airport regulations we must follow to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.

No Pets Inside the Event Area
We absolutely love your furry friends as much as you do, but due to airport regulations and safety requirements, pets will need to stay home for this event. Give them an extra treat from us and let them know we'll miss them!

No Smoking Inside the Fence
For the safety of our guests, aircraft, and airport operations, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the fenced event area.

No Alcohol Inside the Fence
Airport regulations also prohibit alcohol within the event grounds. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

If you've read this far... thank you! 😊

Bring a lawn chair, gather your family and friends, and come prepared to spend the day enjoying planes, cars, great food, live music and great company.

Admission is just $10 per person, and children 12 and under are admitted free.

Most importantly, remember that all net proceeds from Wings & Wheels will benefit Peyton Hospice House, helping support the incredible care and compassion they provide to families throughout our community.

We appreciate your support and can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!

One of the greatest privileges of serving our community is partnering with organizations and individuals who are dedicated to honoring our veterans and preserving the values they represent.

Local community supporter Joe Taylor recently captured the story of the West Virginia Charity Ride for Veterans and its stop at Greenbrier Valley Airport.

Please enjoy Joe's article highlighting this meaningful event and the partnership between the American Legion Riders, American Legion Post 69, and Greenbrier Valley Airport.

The WV Charity Ride for Veterans

In partnership with Greenbrier Valley Airport, the American Legion Midland Seneca Post 69 was honored to host the WV Charity Ride for Veterans on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The mission of the "American Legion Riders" is to support West Virginia veterans and communities. The ride, organized to honor veterans and raise community awareness, covered four days and four different routes through the beautiful mountain roads of our wonderful state.

The first day covered the southern region, including Beckley, Mullens, Bluefield, Talcott, Hinton, and Clifftop. The second day covered the northern part, including Sutton, Ivydale, Spencer, Clay, and Gauley Bridge. The third day covered the eastern region, including Summersville, Richwood, Marlinton, Lewisburg, and Rainelle. The fourth day covered the western part, including Lansing, Charleston, Milton, Barboursville, Logan, and Glen Daniel.

According to Commander Chantel Ricketts, six different American Legion Rider chapters participated in the event, with 33 individuals riding 13 motorcycles, three Slingshots, two Syders, and one trike.

Commander Gordon Campbell of Lewisburg Post 69, along with ten other members, welcomed the visitors to Greenbrier Valley Airport, ensuring they had shelter, facilities, water, snacks, and fellowship during their stop.

The American Legion would like to thank Greenbrier Valley Airport Director Martha Livesay and Greenbrier County Airport Authority Chairman Mike Rose for their cooperation and assistance with event logistics.

Lewisburg American Legion Post 69 is located in downtown Lewisburg and welcomes new members. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

We are proud to have hosted this outstanding group and grateful for the opportunity to support those who have served our nation.

This past weekend, Monroe County Animal League was honored to participate in a Pilots N Paws rescue flight through the Greenbrier Valley Airport — helping give animals in our community a second chance at life!

Thanks to this incredible volunteer network, several animals were transported to their FURever homes after being pre-screened and pre-approved by rescue partners. The flight included a stop in New Jersey before reaching its final destination in New Hampshire.

Lela’s Cat Rescue out of Beckley also transported three kittens on this lifesaving flight.

We also appreciate Amy Moloney for helping share this special story with our community. Amy even asked the pilot why he volunteers for the program, and his answer perfectly captured the heart behind Pilots N Paws:

“It gives me a reason to fly.”

At Greenbrier Valley Airport, we are proud to support efforts that connect communities, compassion, and aviation in such a meaningful way. Moments like these remind us that airports are about more than travel — they can also help create life-changing opportunities and happy endings.
