First time boondocking in Joshua Tree yhe past 2 week, and I have to say⦠I enjoyed it. Thereās something special about waking up in the quiet desert, surrounded by wide-open views, yet still being close enough to Yucca Valley and 29 Palms for anything we needed. It really was the perfect balance of remote and convenient.
This trip was full of learning momentsāfiguring out the rhythms of boondocking, planning ahead, and just slowing down to appreciate where we are. We spent evenings stargazing, including an incredible night at the observatory, and days hiking trails where you can literally feel the local history all around you. Getting to see clusters of hundreds of stars and planets like Jupiter was surreal.
And then there were the windy days⦠the kind that kick up what I like to call ādesert glitter,ā when the sand dances across the ground and the whole landscape seems alive. Itās rugged, beautiful, and unforgettable all at once.
I also discovered what I really enjoy doing as a hobby! Being a google travel guide allows me to share my love of taking photos and share my adventures with others that canāt.
Weeks like this remind me why we travel the way we doāsimple, open, and full of moments you canāt really plan, only experience.
Always remember āLifeās too short, take the journeyā
