ITS THAT TIME OF MONTH AGAIN... WE AT BACK ROADS RANCH LOVE BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE QUALITY PROTEIN FOR LOCAL FAMILIES!

OUR BACK ROADS RANCH MEAT TRAILER WILL BE SET UP FOR MEAT SALES ON SATURDAY SEPT 5TH IN LAWRENCEBURG AT THE PERFORMANCE FEEDS STORE PARKING LOT!

Trailer hours will be 9AM to 11:30AM.

REMEMBER NO CARD READER YET SO CASH ONLY SALES.

Hamburger $6/lb
Hamburger patties $7/lb
Roast $8lb
Steak $12lb (does not include filets)

We also have Brisket, ribs, organ meats, beef fat, tallow(raw or rendered), soup bones, dog bones, beef for stew, beef tips and more.

We are struggling right now trying to understand why we need imported beef. I have no problem with Canadian beef its raised in North America and by ranchers just like we Americans with same standards. I do however get concerned about imported beef from other countries that do not have the same regulations as America and Canada. For the first time in years beef producers are enjoying some profits to pay down some bills. The American farmer deserves that! Why? Because they put in long hard working hours that feeds America and provides for so many by-products and rarely gets a bonus.
I guess most of us are old enough to know the cattle market cycle and know unfortunately prices NEVER STAY HIGH TOO LONG. The question I have is why drop our standards? If importing beef is a must please make it from countries with the same standards as the American Beef Producer.

We at Back Roads Ranch will continue to raise high quality livestock as always. We strive to provide breeding bulls worth having. We want our beef to help feed local families and then some. Our program will not change our beef products will still maintain the USDA stamp and delicious taste it has always had. And best of all it will continue to be raised in America!

BACK ROADS RANCH MEAT TRAILER will be set up and open on SATURDAY AUGUST 8th at PERFORMANCE FEEDS in Lawrenceburg from
9:00 to 11:30AM. CASH ONLY PLEASE.
We are a local USDA Certified Meat Sales Farm from Leoma TN. (most dont know this but you have to have a USDA sales certificate to be able to sell by the piece and be inspected to get it vs non inspected farms that legally can only sell 1/4, 1/2, or whole sales only). Also our meat is processed both kill and cut with a USDA Meat Inspector present. All seal packaged with label of weight and cut on it.

Purchase by the sealed pak cut @
$6/lb hamburger
$8/lb roasts
$12/lb steaks
Or purchase a package
$400 package for 50lbs + of meat. The package consists of 35-38lb hamburger, (depending on the weight of steak and roast packages)1 roast and rest steak. That is 15lbs plus pounds of roast and steak.We fill the package for you. A mix of New York Strips, Ribeyes, T-bones, sirloins, delmonicos, sirloin tips and/or porterhouse steaks fill the package.

We have Briskets, ribs, dog bones, soup bones, tallow fat, and suet available also.

WHO DANCES IN THE RAIN? I do like almost every time we get rain here on the farm there is a little bit of me that does a jig. For 3 years our part of Tennessee had a drought. Last year was a fair amount of rain but this year is rain every few days. We had water standing in our pastures this weekend. I still was dancing for the glory of the rain. We seriously need to mow more than once a week cause the grass just grows grows grows and the yard gets long and bushy and probably should be mowed up high and down low but who wants to do that?? Lush grass, hot summer days, rain every 2 or 3 days or more. It may make it hard to get hay up but the amount of grass this year is amazing. And all the while our friends in the west are so dry. If I could send ya all the extra moisture we have around here I would.

So I left out Sunday for work and pretty soon I get a picture from Steve saying "We have problem here..lol. My reply"Is that my C85 again?" This cow, I love her❣️ She is one of our favorites. Her daughters are all keepers! She is a sweetheart. We acquired her from Dan Maggle's dispersal 8 years ago. However she did this one day last year too. It is not from the lack of lush green grass. We are blessed with it this year. She just loves creep feed. Silly cow, you get in but you can't get out. Good thing your as docile as they come or the creep feeder would be torn up. You just stand there and wait for us to rescue you looking at us like its about time you showed up I need to go get water. There always has to be one! But we will keep her! lol
