🥯✨ NASHVILLE FOODIE FINDS: The Bagel Shop!

Sometimes you just need a GOOD bagel breakfast! 😍 And The Bagel Shop is one to add to your Nashville foodie list.

Here’s what we tried! 👇

Toasted with bacon added for a little extra goodness! 🥓

Toasted with bacon, hashbrown, and Swiss cheese. This one is a hearty breakfast! 🤤

🍓 A Pop-Tart
Because why not add a little something sweet to breakfast? 😂

Whether you’re a savory breakfast person or someone who needs a sweet treat on the side, there’s something about a good bagel sandwich that hits the spot!

🏴‍☠️🍽️ DISNEY FOOD REVIEW: Beak & Barrel

Okay… I know some people might come for me for this one. 😂 But I have to be honest!

Jason and I LOVE a restaurant with amazing theming, and Beak & Barrel absolutely delivers on that front. The atmosphere, details, and character interactions were so much fun! 🏴‍☠️✨

But when it came to the actual food & drinks… we were pretty underwhelmed.

🍹 Plunderer’s Punch: If you want the souvenir mug, just be warned — this drink is STRONG. 😂 One sip and I swear I could breathe fire!
🥤 Cursed Treasure: I went with the non-alcoholic option, and while it wasn't anything amazing, it ended up being my favorite part of our meal.
🍤 Kraken’s Catch: We tried to be adventurous… and that completely backfired. It tasted like shrimp cocktail turned into a salsa. 😅
🌽 Cook’s Corn Griddle Cakes: Better than the Kraken’s Catch, but the corn cakes were pretty tough around the edges.
🍧 Treasure Trove: We chose the Sprite version, and… all I can say is that it tasted EXACTLY like Pine-Sol smells. 😂 The sweet treats were okay, but honestly, I’d rather grab something from Main Street Bakery.

⏰ One other thing to know: you’re given about 45 minutes for your dining experience, so it’s definitely a quick meal rather than a leisurely sit-down experience.

⭐️ My overall take?

I LOVED the theming and the interactions, but the food and drinks just didn’t live up to the experience I was expecting.

I’m glad we tried it once, but personally, I don’t think I’ll be going back.

And hey — that’s just my experience! ❤️ I know plenty of people absolutely love Beak & Barrel, and that’s what makes Disney food so fun. We all have different tastes!

🍝🍦 WHAT I ATE THIS SATURDAY!

First stop was Salvos in Gallatin! 😋

I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with bacon added because why not? 😂 Plus garlic knots!

After that, we headed to Handel’s in Hendersonville for dessert. 🍦

I got the 4-scoop sampler with:
🍥 Cinnamon Roll
🍰 New York Cheesecake
🍓 Strawberry Cheesecake, which was my favorite! ❤️
🍰 Biscoff Cheesecake

A Saturday full of pasta, garlic knots, and ice cream? I’m definitely not mad about it. 😂

Tea, sweet treats, savory bites, and a beautiful setting make this such a fun way to slow down and enjoy something beyond the parks. 🍰❤️

🌮🍹 NASHVILLE AREA FOODIE FIND! 🍹🌮

If you know me, you know I LOVE Mexican food. 😂 So when I find a Mexican restaurant that really stands out, I have to share it!

One of my favorites is El Ok Corral in Old Hickory, TN! 🌮❤️

Now, I’ve tried A LOT of Mexican restaurants in Tennessee, and while I enjoy most of them, there are a couple of things that keep bringing me back to El Ok Corral:

🍹 The margaritas!
They are some of the best AND most affordable margaritas I’ve found in Tennessee. 👏 And yes… that is a combination I can get behind!

❤️ The service!
Gladys and Alex are two of my favorite servers. They’re always so friendly and make the experience even better. Good food is great, but having people who make you feel welcome makes a HUGE difference!

🌮 And of course… there’s the Mexican food. I’ve yet to have a bad experience here!
If you’re in the Old Hickory area and looking for a Mexican restaurant to try, add El Ok Corral to your list!

🍴🏔️ GATLINBURG SERIES: Where Should You Eat?

If you’re heading to Gatlinburg, there are SO many restaurants to choose from… and honestly, food is a pretty big part of our trips. 😂

Here are a few of my personal favorites:

🥞 Crockett’s Breakfast Camp
If you’re looking for breakfast, this is one of my top picks! The portions are HUGE, the atmosphere is fun, and it’s the kind of place that makes breakfast feel like an experience.

🍤 Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
A fun spot right in the middle of all the Gatlinburg action! And if you’re a Forrest Gump fan, the theming makes it even more fun. 🦐🎬

🎸 Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar
And I have to talk about the MAC & CHEESE. 🤤🧀
Seriously… AMAZING.
Plus, the rooftop gives you a great place to hang out and take in the Gatlinburg atmosphere. 🎶🏔️
And that’s just the beginning!

One of the things I love about Gatlinburg is that there are SO many restaurants tucked into the area, from big-name spots to little places you might walk right past.

🏰✨ DISNEY VACATION CHECKLIST: 15 Things You Need Before You Leave! ✈️

Your Disney trip is booked… now let’s make sure you’re actually READY to go! 👀

Here are 15 things I’d check off before leaving for Walt Disney World:
☑️ 1. Tickets & park reservations — Make sure everything is linked and ready to go.
☑️ 2. My Disney Experience app — Download it, log in, and make sure everyone in your party is connected.
☑️ 3. Hotel confirmation — Double-check your reservation and check-in information.
☑️ 4. Dining reservations — Review your restaurants, dates, and times. 🍽️
☑️ 5. Lightning Lane plans — Know what you want to prioritize before you arrive.
☑️ 6. Transportation plan — Figure out how you’re getting to and from the airport and around Disney property.
☑️ 7. Comfortable shoes — PLEASE don’t wait until your vacation to break in new shoes! 👟
☑️ 8. Portable charger — Your phone is going to work HARD at Disney. 🔋
☑️ 9. Weather forecast — Check it a few days before you leave and adjust your packing if needed. ☀️🌧️
☑️ 10. Park-day outfits — Plan outfits ahead of time so you’re not figuring it out at 6 AM. 😂
☑️ 11. Sunscreen — Florida sun does NOT play. 🧴☀️

☑️ 14. Show & entertainment schedule — Look at what you want to see so you don’t accidentally miss a favorite show, parade, or fireworks! 🎆
☑️ 15. A little FLEXIBILITY — This might be the most important one! Leave some room in your schedule to slow down, explore, grab an unexpected snack, or change your plans.

✨ BONUS TIP: Take screenshots of important confirmations and information in case you need them when you don't have reliable cell service.

Disney trips involve A LOT of planning, but the goal isn't to plan every single second.

🌿❤️ NASHVILLE DATE IDEA: Scenic & LOW-COST!

Looking for a Nashville date that doesn’t require a fancy reservation or a big budget? 👀

Head to Centennial Park! 🌳✨

Pack a picnic, grab your favorite drinks, and spend some time walking around the park together. You can enjoy the scenery, take a few pictures, people-watch, and just enjoy being together without rushing off to the next thing. 🧺🥤❤️

And of course, you can’t visit Centennial Park without checking out the Parthenon! 🏛️

What I love about dates like this is that they don’t have to be complicated—or expensive—to be memorable.

Sometimes the best date is simply:
🌳 A beautiful place
🧺 A little picnic
❤️ Good conversation
📸 A few memories
💰 And money left in your wallet!
