Who says Christmas has to be spent at home?

Italy transforms into a winter wonderland, with historic towns wrapped in lights, nativity scenes decorating piazzas, and aromas of roasted chestnuts filling the air. A holiday shopping day in Milan or a stroll through Florence’s festive markets is the perfect way to soak it all in.

I can create a festive itinerary that blends must-see highlights with charming local experiences, like booking a front-row seat for a Christmas Mass or a holiday cooking class.

Put a 🎄in the comments if you’re thinking about skipping your usual holiday plans and going to Italy instead.

Italy teaches you to slow down… one bite at a time.

Dining here isn’t just about food. It’s about savoring the experience. Expect leisurely lunches with multiple courses, regional specialties, and a lot of chatting. Even stopping for gelato or espresso comes with its own little ritual. Meals are social, seasonal, and always meant to be enjoyed, not rushed.

I love helping travelers experience meals like locals do, from family-run trattorias to seasonal food festivals. Knowing where and how to eat makes the flavors (and the memories) way more memorable.

There’s more to the Vatican than just the Sistine Chapel. Have you ever looked up at St. Peter’s dome from the inside?

The Basilica is a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, and its interior holds layers of religious and artistic history. Climbing to the top offers one of the best views of Rome! Make sure to dress appropriately and arrive early to make the experience smoother.

With the right planning, you can visit at quieter times, access special areas, and make the most of your day without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Do you prefer wandering charming streets or lounging by the water?

Towns like Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello offer both! Imagine steep staircases to explore, hidden courtyards, and scenic spots for a relaxed lunch overlooking the sea.

I love helping travelers find those hidden spots that feel like they belong to the locals, places you’d never stumble on without a little guidance.

Think all ice cream is created equal? Think again.

Italian gelato has less air and more flavor than traditional ice cream. You’ll notice the difference in every bite: creamy texture, fresh ingredients, and a focus on seasonal or local flavors. Look for gelaterias with natural colors and simple flavor names (bright neon scoops usually mean artificial additives). Popular choices include pistachio in Sicily, stracciatella in Rome, and hazelnut in Piedmont.

I can show you hidden gelaterias that locals swear by, pair tastings with walking tours, and even help schedule stops at gelato festivals or seasonal pop-ups.

Which flavor would you try first: classic stracciatella or something seasonal?

What’s better: a sunset from your cabin balcony or a walk through a sunny Italian piazza?

On a cruise, you can have both. Cruise mornings bring new scenery, afternoons offer local adventures like gelato tasting or wandering cobblestone streets, and evenings let you enjoy shows, cocktails, or a quiet moment on deck.

I love helping travelers plan cruises that balance the excitement of each port with the simple pleasures onboard, so every day feels like a little discovery.

There’s more to Cinque Terre than just colorful houses.

Each town has its own personality: lively Vernazza, quiet Corniglia, cliffside Manarola, harbor-filled Riomaggiore, and beachy Monterosso. Sample the local cuisine from anchovy dishes to fresh pasta with pesto, hop on a boat for a different view, or wander the narrow alleys and markets for a true taste of the coast.

I can help plan a Cinque Terre trip that balances popular spots with lesser-known corners, ensuring you taste, see, and feel the full diversity of the five villages.

Which village would you explore first: beach vibes, cliffside charm, or quiet hills?

What’s your favorite way to explore a new country: on your own or with a small group?

Small group adventures are more than sightseeing. They’re about sharing laughs, discovering local traditions, and tasting your way through Italy. From pasta-making to vineyard strolls, there’s always something fun around the corner.

Having an expert plan means you’ll spend less time figuring out logistics and more time enjoying the small moments that make the trip special. That’s where I can help you!

Save this for when you’re daydreaming about a relaxed Italian adventure.

I think the best way to get to know Venice is to get a little lost.

Some of the most charming spots aren’t on any maps. You just stumble on them between bridges and canals. Add a scoop of gelato or a cicchetti stop, and it’s a pretty perfect afternoon.

I love helping travelers build in time for those kinds of unscripted moments. The ones that make a trip feel like yours.

The Colosseum is just as impressive in person as you imagine, maybe even more so.

Rome isn’t just a city. It’s an open-air museum. From the Colosseum to the Roman Forum, every stone tells a story that’s bigger than a guidebook.

The key to enjoying it all? Timing. A travel advisor can help you skip the long lines, plan your visit around golden-hour light, and make sure you’re close enough to wander back at night when the monuments glow. It’s a little bit of strategy that makes the moment feel truly magical.

Save this so you can find it when you’re planning your first Roman adventure.
