My wife passed away in July. I spent the last 5 years taking care of her. Although I miss her greatly, I still am into trains. I am trying to pick up all of the pieces, my desire to work on trains is building up.

This is an excellent model RR Blog. Give them a visit.

On my layout there is a switch leading toward the back of the layout that leads to a couple of public delivery and storage tracks. Access to the switch to throw it by hand is obstructed by a set of coal silos and a lumber shed.

Sorry for my absence the last few days as my wife was in the hospital. She is much better thank you. Both of us are dealing with organ transplant issues. She needs a kidney, I need a liver. But, nothing is going to stop the progress of this modeler. I love the hobby as a simulation of real trains and I love the hobby for the craftsman skills it has pulled out of me.
