We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operations and maintenance, as well as adherence to safety regulations. Responsibilities:
Operate dump trucks and other vehicles, including flatbeds and roll-off trucks, to transport materials safely.
Load and unload materials at job sites, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and materials transported.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and equipment operation.
Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience driving dump trucks; familiarity with tanker, flatbed, and roll-off truck operations is a plus.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Strong knowledge of load unloading procedures and safety protocols.
Experience with route driving in various weather conditions.
Forklift certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
