Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Over the Road (OTR) Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight to various destinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with different trailer types, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Follow designated routes and schedules to deliver goods efficiently across regional or national locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with DOT regulations.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any issues encountered on the route.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A with clean driving record.
Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred.
Proficiency in driving various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks.
Strong knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving strategies.
Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts when required.
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients.
Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform routine vehicle inspections. This role is essential for maintaining efficient supply chain operations while prioritizing safety standards. Candidates should be committed to professional driving practices and capable of managing long-haul routes effectively.
