Meet Specialist (Ret.) Robert Simmons 🫡

After serving in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1982 in Germany as a 13B Artilleryman, Robert’s path took him through many chapters — one of them being earning his CDL after the pandemic and discovering a new purpose on the open road.

Honoring the legacy of the late Captain Richard Creamer — a devoted airman whose courage and commitment carried him across skies and through history exemplifying the finest of the Greatest Generation. 🇺🇸

Captain Richard Creamer honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and continued his service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve through the Cold War, dedicating his life to the defense of his nation.

Today, we remember not only his service, but the courage, dedication, and enduring legacy of a true American hero.

While at the Delta Shores truck stop in Sacramento, CA (off I-5 by Walmart), we noticed trash scattered across the parking lot. 😔

It’s easy to see why some places stop allowing truck parking when things like this happen. Let’s not give them another reason.

Howdy from Texas! 🤠

Join us as we explore the Gray County Safety Rest Area on I-40 in McLean, TX — opened in 2003 and inspired by the region’s natural rock formations, complete with a wind turbine that powers the facility.

This stop has everything a trucker could possibly need: separate truck and passenger parking, air-conditioned restrooms and lobby, vending machines, drinking water, and even a storm shelter for safety. Not to mention: after a long drive, the walking trail was the perfect way to stretch our legs before hitting the road again!

And for those traveling with family, you can enjoy the playground, diaper changing stations, and family/assisted restroom — making it a comfortable stop for everyone.

Our favorite part? The interpretive exhibits inside the lobby sharing local info, road updates, and weather conditions.

This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week was one to remember. 🚛

We had the privilege of celebrating with , who went above and beyond to honor their drivers with a full set-up. From hot dogs, fresh fruit, and grab-and-go snacks to ice-cold sodas and their very own Phorm energy drinks and water—every detail was thoughtfully prepared to keep drivers fueled and refreshed while on the road.

Drivers are the backbone of our economy, yet their contributions often go unseen as they work tirelessly to keep America moving.
