The Bags Never Make Anyone Wait...

A tour party or a large group never travels light. Wardrobe trunks, instrument cases, garment bags, a few pieces nobody can identify but everybody insists are essential. Put all of that in the same vehicles as the passengers and the arrival turns into twenty minutes of loading and unloading at every stop. So, on larger movements we separate the two. A dedicated luggage vehicle runs alongside the party, bags are tagged and counted at the origin, and they are waiting in the right rooms before anyone has finished checking in. The people walk straight in. The luggage simply appears where it needs to be, which is exactly how it should feel from the client’s side.

Vehicles are released in a sequence set by the production, the window is measured in seconds, and there is no version where a car stops short, stops long, or stops with the wrong door facing the carpet. Getting it right requires knowing the venue’s approach, holding position until the cue, and a chauffeur who has done it enough times to execute it without a rehearsal. While it's not the norm, it's certainly not unusual to have things like this happen. It is ultimately the nature of a schedule that lives on the road. What doesn't change is what and how we deliver our service when change happens. We Stay Until The Day Is Done…

One continuous assignment — an early pickup, four or five meetings across a city, a lunch that runs over, an afternoon that gets rearranged twice, and a dinner nobody wants to be late for. Handing that to a dispatch system produces a different vehicle at every stop and a client re-explaining themselves all day. We assign one chauffeur and one vehicle for the duration, so the car stays with the party rather than being released between appointments, bags and coats stay where they were left, and the person driving has the full day in front of him rather than the next leg. By late afternoon, when the schedule has changed twice, that continuity is worth more than anything else we could have offered.
