Questions to ask before hiring any moving company 👇

Print this. Screenshot it. Ask every question before signing anything 📋

1️⃣ "What's your DOT number?" Half the companies advertising don't have one. Google it. Verify it. No number equals no license equals run. 🔢

2️⃣ Legitimate movers have documentation ready. If they hesitate or dodge, walk away immediately. 📄

3️⃣ They didn't see your home. Didn't ask about inventory. That number changes the second the truck pulls up. No walkthrough means fiction pricing 🏠

4️⃣ No contract. No inventory list. No price guarantee. That promise expires the second something goes wrong. 📝

5️⃣ They hired your crew off Craigslist this morning. No background check. No training. Ask directly. Watch their face 👷

6️⃣ If there's no clear claims process there's no accountability. Get it in writing before they touch anything. 🔨

7️⃣ Scam companies close and reopen. Brand new 5-star profiles equal recycled scam operation. ⭐

Ask all 7. If they dodge even one find someone else ❌

At Muscle Movers we answer all 7 before you even ask. Licensed ✅ Insured ✅ Written guarantees ✅ Trained crews ✅

Things I've witnessed cheap movers do to save time 👇

Boxes get THROWN into the truck. Not placed. Thrown. "Fragile" sticker means nothing to a crew paid by speed. Here's what rushing actually looks like ⏰

1️⃣ Boxes stacked 7 high with no straps. First turn and everything topples. Your dishes on the bottom 📦

2️⃣ Hardwood floors gouged in 6 rooms. No floor runners. No furniture pads. Because lifting takes 10 extra seconds 🪵

3️⃣ TVs tossed screen-down with no padding. "It was like that when we loaded it" 📺

4️⃣ Garbage bags instead of blankets. Your leather couch arrives scratched from whatever was next to it 🗑️

5️⃣ No padding. No straps. No clue. $15,000 instrument destroyed. Wrapping takes time. Time is money 🤷

6️⃣ Forced a couch through a doorframe instead of removing the door. Gouged both sides. 2-minute fix would've saved $800 🚪

7️⃣ They care about speed not your stuff. The last 30% of your move gets rushed because they're already late for the next one. 🚛

Our crews wrap every item. Protect every floor. Measure every door. Price locked before we touch a box ✅

How to tell if your moving quote is a scam in 30 seconds 👇 You don't need a full background check. These 7 red flags show up FAST ⏱️ 1️⃣ Quoted over the phone without seeing your home. If they gave you a number without seeing your stuff, that number is fiction. 📱 2️⃣ If 4 companies quote $3,000 and one quotes $1,200 that $1,200 will become $4,000. The cheapest quote is always the most expensive lesson. 💸 3️⃣ Can't show a license number. Every legitimate mover has a DOT number and state license. If they hesitate or dodge, walk away immediately. 🔢 4️⃣ "We'll figure out the final price on move day." Translation: once your entire life is loaded on our truck we'll tell you the real price and you'll have no choice but to pay. 🎲 5️⃣ No real website or brand new domain registered 3 months ago. Scam companies rebrand constantly 🌐 6️⃣ All reviews posted in the last 6 months. All 5 stars. Fake reviews on a new name after complaints killed the old one ⭐ 7️⃣ Cash only. No credit cards. No paper trail. No accountability 💵 See 2 or more? Hang up immediately and call someone else ☎️ Comment **SCAM** if you've experienced this 👇 lasvegasmovers hiringmovers movingchecklist relocation scamalert localmovers professionalmovers homeowners movinghelp lasvegaslife movingsoon realestate protips redflags consumerprotection

Questions to ask before hiring any moving company 👇

Print this. Screenshot it. Ask EVERY question before signing anything 📋

1️⃣ "What's your DOT number?" — They're not licensed to cross state lines. Half the companies advertising it don't have it. Google the number. Verify it. No number = no license = run 🔢

2️⃣ "Proof of insurance?" — Real companies have certificates ready. They can't show you a license number. If they hesitate or dodge, walk away immediately. 📄

3️⃣ "Walkthrough before quoting?" — They didn't see your home. Didn't ask about inventory. That number changes the second the truck pulls up. No walkthrough = fiction pricing 🏠

4️⃣ "Price locked in writing?" — Nothing in writing. No contract. No inventory list. No price guarantee. That promise expires the second something goes wrong. 📝

5️⃣ "Full-time crews?" — They hired your crew off Craigslist this morning. No background check. No training. Ask directly. Watch their face 👷

6️⃣ "What if something breaks?" — If there's no clear claims process, there's no accountability. Get it in writing before they touch anything 🔨

7️⃣ "Reviews older than 6 months?" — Scam companies close and reopen. Brand new 5-star profiles = recycled scam operation ⭐

Ask all 7. If they dodge even ONE — find someone else ❌

What your movers do with your stuff when you're not watching 👇

I've been in this industry long enough to know exactly what happens when the homeowner walks inside or drives to the new house ahead of the truck 👀

1️⃣ Boxes get THROWN into the truck. Not placed. Thrown. "Fragile" sticker means nothing to a crew that's paid by speed 📦

2️⃣ Heavy boxes stacked on top of fragile ones. Your dishes are under your dumbbells 🏋️

3️⃣ Furniture dragged across hardwood instead of lifted. Scratches you won't notice until the crew is gone 🪵

4️⃣ Truck doors left open during rain. Your mattress absorbs water. Your boxes get soaked. "It wasn't that much rain" 🌧️

5️⃣ Crews showing up drunk. Handling irreplaceable furniture. Bumping into walls. Some eat lunch on your furniture. Sit on your couch. Use your things like they own them 🛋️

6️⃣ Use bathrooms without asking. Leave them a mess. In YOUR new home 🚽

7️⃣ They care about speed, not your stuff. Faster crew = more jobs per day = more revenue. The last 30% of your move gets rushed because they're already late for the next one 🏃

8️⃣ A box "accidentally" left behind. You don't do a full inventory for weeks. By then the phone number is disconnected 📦

I came from nothing. Built Muscle Movers to be the company I wished existed.

Our crews are full-time. Background checked. Trained. They protect your stuff because that's the standard — not the exception 💪

Red flags your moving company is about to scam you 👇

I've watched families get destroyed by bad movers. Here's the checklist that would've saved every single one of them 🚩

1️⃣ Your quote was a guess. They didn't see your home. Didn't ask about inventory. That number changes the second the truck pulls up. 📱

2️⃣ No branding on the truck. Rented U-Haul. No logo means no accountability. If something goes wrong you can't even identify the company 🚛

3️⃣ Cash only. No invoice. No paper trail. No ability to dispute charges or file a claim 💵

4️⃣ No written contract before they touch anything. If terms aren't in writing they don't exist 📝

5️⃣ Once your stuff is on the truck, they own the negotiation. Load everything. Hit you with extra charges. You pay or your stuff rides away. 🎲

6️⃣ They're not licensed to cross state lines. Half the companies advertising it don't have it. Ask for the insurance certificate. Real companies have it ready 🚫

7️⃣ All 5-star reviews from the last 6 months = fake reviews on a brand new company name. They closed their last company after complaints ⭐

8️⃣ Demanding deposit before walkthrough = collecting money before proving they're legitimate 💸

If you see 3+ of these — CANCEL. Even on move day. The inconvenience of rescheduling is cheaper than getting scammed 🎯

The $1,200 move that became a $5,000 nightmare 👇

This happens every single week in Las Vegas. I've seen it hundreds of times. Here's exactly how the scam works step by step 🎰

Step 1: You get quotes 📋 You call 4 companies. Three quote you $2,800-$3,200 for a 3-bedroom move. One quotes $1,200. Your brain says "$1,800 in savings."

Step 2: You pick the cheap one 💸 No walkthrough. No inventory check. Just a number on the phone. A real company does a walkthrough — in person or virtual. If they gave you a number without seeing your stuff, that number is fiction.

Step 3: Move day arrives 🚛 No company name on the truck. Rented U-Haul. No branding. No logo. That means no accountability. Two guys show up 2 hours late.

Step 4: They start loading 📦 Fast. Careless. No furniture pads. No shrink wrap. No floor runners. They care about speed, not your stuff. Faster crew = more jobs per day = more revenue. Your walls are getting scratched before the truck is half full.

Step 5: Everything is loaded 🔒 Your entire life is on their truck. Now comes the call. "Actually, with stairs, long carry, packing materials, and heavy items it's $4,500." Once your stuff is on the truck, they own the negotiation. This is the oldest scam in moving. Load everything. Then hit you with extra charges. You pay or your stuff rides away.

Step 6: You pay 😤 What choice do you have? They have your furniture, your clothes, your kids' beds, your grandmother's china. You pay the $4,500 in cash. No receipt.

Step 7: Damage everywhere 💔 Couch torn. TV screen cracked. Dresser leg snapped. Walls gouged at both locations. You're trusting strangers inside your home because they answered an ad 6 hours ago.

Step 8: You call to complain 📵 Number disconnected. No license. No insurance. No recourse. Company closes in 6 months. Reopens under a new name. Runs the same scam again.

Total cost:

$4,500 cash to the scam company
$800 in property damage at both homes
$2,200 in damaged furniture replacement
Emotional cost: immeasurable
That $1,200 "deal" cost $7,500 💀

Your stuff is worth more than the $500 you're trying to save.

I built Muscle Movers because nobody should go through this 💪

Unpopular opinions I have after moving thousands of families in Las Vegas 👇

1️⃣ The cheapest quote will cost you the most 💸 That $800 estimate turns into $2,400 on move day. Hidden fees. Stair charges. "Oh we didn't know about that." They knew. They just didn't tell you until your entire life was on their truck. If 4 companies quote $3,000 and one quotes $1,200 that $1,200 will become $4,000. The cheapest quote is always the most expensive lesson.

2️⃣ Most moving companies aren't insured 🚫 Two guys with a rented U-Haul and a Venmo account. They drop your $8,000 dining table. You call them. Number disconnected. No license. No insurance. No recourse. They say "we're insured" on the website. Ask for the certificate. Watch them disappear.

3️⃣ Your stuff is worth more than $500 💰 You'll spend 3 hours on Yelp comparing prices to save a few hundred bucks. Then hand your grandmother's antique dresser to strangers who got hired yesterday. That dresser is irreplaceable. The $500 you saved is not.

4️⃣ No walkthrough = guessing your price 🎲 A real company walks your home, sees the inventory, and gives you a locked price. A scam operation gives you a number over the phone and "adjusts" on move day when you have no choice. If they won't walk your home they're not estimating. They're baiting.

5️⃣ People matter more than equipment 👷 A $200K truck with untrained crews will destroy your house faster than two pros with a basic setup. We invest in people first. Equipment second. I can give someone the best tools in the world. If they don't care about your home those tools are useless.

6️⃣ "We'll be careful" is not a plan 🤷 "We'll be careful" is not a plan. Floor runners. Furniture pads. Corner guards. Shrink wrap. Doorframe protection. That's a plan. "Trust us bro" is how your walls get dented and your hardwood gets scratched.

7️⃣ You get what you pay for ♻️ Every single time. I came from nothing and built this company by doing what cheap movers won't — showing up on time, protecting your home, and treating your stuff like it's ours.

Hire cheap. Learn expensive 💰

Every single time ♻️

Licensed ✅ Insured ✅ Transparent pricing ✅ Crews that give a damn ✅

Things I've personally witnessed on move day that would shock you 👇

1️⃣ Furniture held hostage 🔒 Company loads the truck. Drives to the new address. Demands $3,000 more than the quote. You pay or your stuff leaves with them. This happens weekly in Las Vegas.

2️⃣ Crew showed up drunk 🍺 To a $2 million home. Handling irreplaceable furniture. Bumping into walls. The company doesn't care because they'll close and reopen under a new name in 6 months.

3️⃣ Piano dropped down a staircase 🎹 No padding. No straps. No clue. $15,000 instrument destroyed. No insurance to cover it. Family gets a "sorry" and a disconnected phone number.

4️⃣ Crew stealing from boxes 📦 No background check. Hired off Craigslist that morning. Given access to your entire home. Your jewelry. Your valuables. Your life.

5️⃣ Flat rate that tripled 📈 $1,500 on the phone. $4,500 at the door. "Oh we didn't know about stairs." They knew. They waited until you had no choice.

6️⃣ Families crying on move day 😢 Belongings damaged. Prices changed. Nobody cares. I've seen it more times than I can count.

This industry is broken. Full of people who open a company, run scams for 6 months, close it, and reopen under a new name 🔄

I came from nothing 💪
