Team Up to Clean Up 2023!

The Parks and Recreation Department and Keep Las Cruces Beautiful invites the Las Cruces community to Team Up to Clean Up!

By volunteering with your family and neighbors for a clean-up event in your neighborhood, you can help reduce the number of weeds, trash, junk, and debris on city sidewalks and streets.

Event dates in 2023 are:

April 22 - Great American Cleanup.
May 20 - District 6 Clean Up.
June 10 - District 5 Clean Up.
July 15 - District 4 Clean Up.
August 19 - District 3 Clean Up.
September 16 - District 2 Clean Up.
October 14 - Toss No Mas Clean Up.
November 18 - District 1 Clean Up.

Opportunities to make a difference in the community are not limited to event dates and supplies can be requested by individuals or groups.

The Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces District will waive entrance fees for visitors to its recreation sites Jan. 16, in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This designated Fee-Free day is one of only six days this year when national parks and other public lands managed by BLM will waive fees.

Fee sites affected within the district include:
☀️Aguirre Spring Recreation Area and Campground
☀️Dripping Springs Natural Area
☀️Three Rivers Petroglyph Site (1 hr. 45 min.)

*Jan. 16 is also a fee-free day to enter White Sands National Park

Site standard amenities and individual day-use fees will be waived at these recreation sites and areas. Other costs, such as overnight camping and group day use will remain in effect.
