I am quitting Facebook in all ways, including this company page. I figure that with the Socialist/Communist New World Order types coming to power, it is only a matter of time before this country turns into a 3rd world sh****le like Venezuela. So there's no point in supporting an organization that supports that movement like Facebook, twitter, etc. I'm moving to Parler and Gab.com. Adios

On a lighter/better note, we hired a fellow who is both an Airframes & Powerplants mechanic and an Avionics Technician with over 25 years experience in both areas. He has already saved us thousands in lost time and money we used to spend to get the slightest problems with our planes fixed. This is a major game changer!

Just a quick update. We are NOT closed cause somebody in the next county/state/country got sick. None of our students are stupid enough to come to fly if they're sick or even think they might be.

Here it is October already. The snow has fallen once already and the overnight temps are in the 30's and 40's. I'm so thankful for the nice heated hangar we can preflight in, then pull the planes out and go flying. They perform really well in the cold air.

Our new AATD flight simulator arrived last Monday. We now can save a student thousands of dollars over the course of instrument and commercial pilot training. I love it.

Received our new AATD flight simulator yesterday. I'd take pictures but my phone died last Friday. Pictures will have to wait for my new phone to arrive in a day or two.

The AATD (Advanced Aviation Training Device) is authorized for a wide variety of training, including 2.5 hours for Private Pilot students, 20 hours for Instrument Pilot students, and a total of 50 hours for Commercial Pilot students (including the prior amounts).

All in all, the AATD can save a student $2500 in training expense on the Commercial Pilot License.

Almost forgot, I hired a new flight instructor this past week. Fresh out of a 2 year program and he's already finding out what they didn't teach him. Seems eager to learn though, so I have high hopes.

Well, August is in the books. Revenues continue to climb, up 22% in August, and 3 new students start next week. Made a new friend last week who has led me to a possible mechanic to hire and an airplane to lease, a taildragger no less. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of our new simulator, an Advanced Aviation Training Device which will enable us to lower the cost of an instrument rating substantially and increase our efficiency at the same time. We are truly blessed.

Well, here it is mid August, 4 months from the day we opened our doors in Laramie. I've "hired" 2 flight instructors so far. One of them called quit the next day via text message. The second one gave up his apartment in Texas, drove to Laramie, moved into one of our dorm rooms, and came in for indoctrination and training on Monday. Two hours of ground school, Thunderstorms prevented first flight. Guy comes in on Tuesday, says he "needs to be with his family in Texas" and quits on the spot.

Is there no one willing to work anymore?

Here we are, nearly 4 weeks into our new venture. I've hired one part time flight instructor and we have 4 new students, but I'm still looking for a mechanic. Things could be better, but we are gaining traction.

Taking the first load of company stuff to Laramie tomorrow. I'll take possession of our new facility in Laramie Monday morning. I expect to open the doors for business April 15.

February has been very eventful for the company. On the 4th, we received confirmation that we are now domiciled as a Wyoming corporation. Today, I signed a contract to lease/purchase a hangar with attached office space at the Laramie Regional Airport.

On April 1, the company will open a new location in Laramie, Wyoming. The plan is to develop a Private Aviation College where you can obtain a Commercial Pilot License with Single and Multiengine ratings, Instrument Rating, and Flight Instructor license in 6-7 months. Employers are being solicited to hire our graduates immediately after graduation. You will then work in a flying job while you complete the general education requirements for an Associates Degree.
