Didn’t go deep for the donkeys due to the weather but the snapper cooperated with us this morning. Limits of beautiful red snapper a couple mangrove and a real nice cobia. Two other cobia were caught one being a couple inches short and the other flipped at the boat. It’s sure nice to have a competent gaffer to retrieve my cobia. Looks like offshore done for the year for me. Of course the tax man was collecting this morning.

Had Tannor, Brett and Nick onboard this morning. They were the winners of the trip at the auction of the Deputy Jeremy Triche Spots and Dots Tournament. Well after 3 reschedules due to weather looked like the 4th was on the horizon early this morning with all the storms around. After a
Short wait we headed out and at the first stop it was on. We ended up getting their limits with the storms looming around. All fish were caught in Marker 54 jerk shrimp under a Harvey Tackle popper. Was a very nice morning to fish under the clouds and light northerly breeze. Change is coming with the season. Dilly Dilly and Got’em again.

Pan seared freshly caught red snapper filet topped with crawfish and potato stew with a side of asparagus. It’s what’s for dinner. Five years ago today we were getting decimated with Ida. Cocodrie is still recovering. It’s come a long way from that sad day. Dilly Dilly.

Jumped on Cody Chauppetta Century and headed offshore again. Left after the big thunderstorm this morning. Made it out and didn’t take long to get our limit plus one mangy. Had a real nice chop due to the storms but not unbearable. Season winding down with tomorrow and next weekend for red snapper. Dilly Dilly and Got’em. Live white trout did the damag.

Went out to the Gulf of America this morning to catch some snapper. First stop and they was hungry. Didn’t take long and came back with a set of quads. I know one is going to be dinner tonight. Dilly Dilly mangroves caught with minnows from G&R Live Baits. Get some.

Went test run the boat this morning since I just got it out of the shop. I was minding my business and I inadvertently ran through a school of Asian carp and a bunch ended up in the bottom of the boat. I said I’m gonna smoke some of them and see how they taste.
