If you could step back into one travel memory for just one day, where would you go?
Mine would have to be Beaches Turks & Caicos
This wasn't just a vacation for me, it was a collection of firsts. My first passport. My first time leaving the country. My first connecting flight. My first island adventure. Looking back, I truly believe this trip was the moment my curiosity about the world came alive.
Everything felt different from the life I knew at home. The crystal-clear turquoise water seemed almost unreal. The soft white sand stretched for miles. The warmth and kindness of the people made the destination feel welcoming from the moment we arrived but what I remember most isn't just the beauty of the island, it's the connections we made. We met a family from Texas, and what started as a simple conversation turned into shared dinners, laughter, and memories throughout the trip. Complete strangers became part of our story.
That journey taught me that travel is so much more than checking destinations off a list. It's about stepping outside of what is familiar, discovering new perspectives, and creating connections with people you may never have met otherwise. In many ways, that trip planted the seed for the person I am today. It sparked a lifelong love of exploration and a curiosity about the world that has never stopped growing. It was the first chapter in a story that continues to unfold with every new adventure.
