A few things to think about.

When we acquired Kings Mill there were approximately 14 floathouses, 5 house boats, a resturant, a workshop, a fishing float, 2 milti-slip floating docks, a floating camper and a tiki float.

TODAY
All but the workshop are gone. Some float houses and houseboat moved. They were luck enough to find space at other marinas.

- There was running water to every vessel.
- There was not a single vessel attached to septic system
- There was no operatonal pump out system hooked up in years.
- About 70% of the vessels and docks had Styrofoam flotation.
- Electrical service was maintained by unlicensed , unskilled tenants.

Our group purchased Kings Mill Marina at auction in February of 2024. These pictures show the dreadful conditions that years of no maintenance, and lack of regulations caused. We really would have liked to preserve some of the history that was the old Marina.

In months to come we will be posting updates on progress and hope to see you in May 2026 for our grand opening.
