We moved this 52x58 two story house in Ogilvie Mn. The house was moved to mine the gravel underneath. We also moved the 36x72 pole barn as well. We had lots of rain here but that the nice part about working in a gravel pit setting.

This monster is a 43x76 4 level house that we moved in Lakeville Mn just about 2 miles. The pole barn you see is 40x80 and was moved at the same time. I find it funny that the house makes the pole barn look small. Moving this house down Cedar Ave through all of the traffic light was a challenge with only a couple feet of clearance to fit through. It was close but it squeaked through. Notice that the pole barn in the pictures is behind the house? That was the only way out of the old lot. Why do I bring this up? Because, at the new lot, the pole barn needed to go in first. What that means is that at one point, near the Lakeville Airport, a 43 foot wide house was passed by a 40 foot wide pole barn. Lot of building overhanging those ditches. Sure wish I had a picture of that.

Here is a house and the second story of a garage that we moved to Harris Mn. The house came from Minnetonka Mn and was 28x48 and the garage top came from Shakopee Mn and was 26x28. The plan here is to rebuild the garage underneath the garage top and attach it to the house.

This big 2 and 3/4 story house (30x44) was moved from Randolph Mn to Hampton Mn. The thing that made this move so interesting is that on the night of the move it started to rain and the roads we had to travel on were so narrow that the outside duals of the dollies ran in the grass on both sides of the road. The rain made it a dark night and you never know what’s hidden by the dark in the grass. Could be a hole or washout or who knows. In this case there was a solid shoulder hidden by the grass and we had no troubles but that concern is still there as you move along.

This unique two story house was so narrow (20x40) that we felt it was safer to remove it from its basement and slide it sideways to allow for the new basement to be dug and built. Once the basement was finished, we slide the house back onto the foundation. Located in Red Wing Mn.

This early 1900s farm house was relocated from Preston Mn to Spring Valley Mn. The house was 33x40. The sad part on this job was that we raised the house up so they could pour the basement and what do you think the concrete guys forgot to do? Yep, leave holes for the beams, so back they came to cut 14 holes into the nicely pored foundation so we could let the house down. So sad.
