The Vicem 36 left the shop today....launch day!

3 trips, 160 miles each. First trip, assess, plan, take dimensions,and remove bad stem section, gripe, and bad keel section. Build assembly back at the shop. Second trip, test fit pieces then assemble and bolt up back at my shop. Third trip, install new assembly. Easy peasy, lol!

The crew spent the day checking out a Alden Design Malabar II that was home built in central Wisconsin. We are putting together an estimate for completion (builder has passed away). The boat is beautifully built, and the family wishes to pass it along to a party who would complete it (preferable a non-profit tall ship organization). They are asking nothing for it and are willing to help with moving.
