🚒 Big News from Lake View! 🚒

Members of Lake View Fire recently traveled to the Pierce Manufacturing factory in Appleton, Wisconsin, to complete the final inspection of our new Pierce Velocity Engine 2.

The inspection team was made up of members who are responsible for overseeing apparatus purchases and ensuring everything meets operational standards.

We’re proud to report that Engine 2 has successfully passed its final inspection and will soon be heading home to serve our community!

Today is the day!

Open House and Chicken BBQ, Lake View Fire Station One - 2005 Lakeview Road.

Today is the Day for our annual RecruitNY open house and Chicken bbq! This is a great chance to see what we do, learn something new, and spend time with your community. We’ll have live demonstrations, hands on activities, and opportunities to try on real fire gear. You can check out our fire trucks up close, learn basic first aid skills, and even get your child’s car seat checked by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Bring your Husband, Wife and Childern, neighbors, we in Lake View Fire hope to see many, many residents!

Lake View! 3 days to go!!

Join us this Sunday April 19th for our annual RecruitNY open house. This is a great chance to see what we do, learn something new, and spend time with your community.

We’ll have live demonstrations, hands on activities, and opportunities to try on real fire gear. You can check out our fire trucks up close, learn basic first aid skills, and even get your child’s car seat checked by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

We’ll also have Chivatta’s Chicken BBQ available, so come hungry.

This event is for all ages and is a great way to learn more about volunteering and how you can make a difference right here in Lake View.

ATTENTION LAKE VIEW!

Join us on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM for our annual RecruitNY Day at Lake View Fire Station #1 (2005 Lakeview Road, Lake View, NY 14085).

This family friendly event is a great opportunity for community members to come out, learn what we do, and see how we serve Lake View every day. Walk through our apparatus bay, try on gear and handle rescue equipment, climb inside our engine and ambulance, and even check out the lights and sirens.

We’ll also have hands-on and educational demonstrations, including EMS skills, fire behavior, and fire prevention, so you can get a real look at the training and teamwork that goes into the fire service.

RecruitNY is all about educating the public and giving you a chance to see what being a volunteer firefighter or EMS provider is really like. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, this is the perfect time to stop by, ask questions, and learn how you can make a difference in your community.

🚨 Junk Vehicles Needed for Life-Saving Training 🚨

Live, hands-on training is essential to prepare our responders for real emergencies—and right now, we need your help.

We are currently seeking junk vehicles to use in training exercises. These vehicles allow our team to practice every aspect of auto accident response, from patient care inside the vehicle to operating extrication equipment on Hamburg Rescue 7.

This need becomes even more critical in the spring. Each May, we host the Hamburg High School EMT class for an Extrication Day training, where nearly 100 students gain invaluable, real-world experience. Your donated vehicle helps give these future EMTs the hands-on training they need to save lives.

If you have a junk vehicle you’re willing to donate, it can be a tax-deductible contribution that directly supports emergency training in our community.
