Hi gang
haven't had a sinker for a couple of years and wouldn't you know it, i get 2 in the same month. Nothing very difficult, they both sunk while tied to their docks. The worst part is all the gas and oil that escapes. It makes a big mess.

Hi Gang
I haven't posted in awhile because nothing very challenging has happened lately. It's been the usual dumb stuff. Found a flipped over catamaran in the middle of the lake. A couple of jet skis ran into each other. One wound up with a hole in it. It filled up with water but it didn't sink.. Then we had a boat fire. The entire top half of the boat burnt off and it sunk. Don't know what happened to it but someone pulled it up because it's no longer on the bottom.
But a couple days ago I got a call that sounded like fun. A girl had dropped her phone in the lake and wanted me to find it. I explained to her finding something that small in water with no viability is almost impossible. But it's been very hot here and I thought what better way to escape the heat than being underwater. She sent me a picture of 2 sea doo's tied to a dock. She said the phone was dropped between the two. Sure enough, it was very easy to find. The interesting part was the phone still worked. Other than a dead battery from being underwater for three days, it was fine. Good job apple, I'm impressed.

Here's a perfect example of "Sometimes bad things happen to good people". The fire department boat must have had a mechanical problem and sunk tied to the dock. It is a large boat and i was concerned the salvage boat wouldn't be able to lift it full of water, but the little boat did a great job.

This couple was having a bad day. Their motor stopped and the wind blew them up on shore where the waves filled the boat with water. It was relativility easy to solve their problem. We blocked the waves with a sheet of plexiglass and thru a pump in the bottom of the boat. 20 minutes later, we were on our way back to the dock

Hi Gang.
This boat from canyon lake sunk tied to the dock. A hose came off and it went down fast. We attached cables to the 4 corners and it came back up easily.

Hi Gang. It's been awhile since I've had anything to post but it finally happened again this weekend. Right in front of my house, a flatbottom race boat came apart and sunk. I don't know exactly how it happened but you can see the fiberglass on the right side of the boat came apart. And It landed upside down on the bottom just to be difficult. The owners of the boat came out with me to help recover it. Their really nice folks. It was a little tricky getting it back up to the surface being upside down and stuck in the Elsinore mud but after allot of pulling and tugging, we got it up. Don't let the spring suit fool you, the water was freezing.

It has been awhile but I finally got a call for a sunken vessel. It was a little disappointing that it was a jet ski but I still had fun. A father and son bought a used standup and took it to lake Perris for their first ride. The son got out a little past the 5mph buoys when the ski started taking on water. Another boater seeing the boy was in trouble, tried to grab the ski but couldn't hold onto it and down it went. They called me about 1 in the afternoon asking if I could help. I just purchased a new sonar and wanted to see how well it works so I agreed. After packing up the gear I got to the lake about 4:00. We all got on the boat and went hunting. They had a good idea where the ski went down and we had a target on the scanner in about 15 minutes. We thru a marker buoy in the water, I put on scuba gear and went for a look. Sure enough, I found the target in about 5 minutes but it wasn't the ski we were looking for. Someone else sunk their boat and just left it there. It felt like it had been down there for years. We told the rangers about it but they didn't seem interested so we continued looking for the jet ski. After about 45 minutes we had another target to check out. It didn't look promising but we were running out of daylight and this was our next best possibility. Sure enough, it was the ski, sitting nose down on the bottom with the back end still floating upward. I tied a rope to the back end and came up. The dad was so excited he just pulled the ski up by the rope. We attached it to the winch and took it to the shore. They were both very happy....

Hi gang Well, it's been awhile since I've posted but not much has been happening..... This couple was out enjoying the lake when the wind came up. They said the waves were really big And Rolling over the back of the boat. The driver decided to head for seaport launch and parked the boat between the two docks before it sunk. We got the call about 10:30 that night. The rescue boat is down for repairs so we just jumped into the play pontoon. When we got there the wind had died and the boat was sitting just above the surface of the water. We just thru a submersible pump into the boat and 20 minutes it was up and floating again. The owners couldn't have been happier for the help.

Emily and I had a little 4th of July fun. Last night these poor folks packed up the family and went out on the lake to watch the fireworks show . It was a very dark night and they somehow got into shallow water and wound up running aground. I guess they called the launch ramps but couldn't find anybody to help them. Finally around 12:30am Emily noticed someone was on Facebook asking for help. They posted that they were stuck out on the lake but didn't know exactly where. Since the movie I was watching was really really bad, Em and I decided to go for an evening boat ride. We found them in the 4 corners area, blown up on the shore. Well, it took 200 feet of rope and allot of pulling and wiggling, but they finally came off the beach. I think we made a couple of new friends. The power of Facebook never ceases to amaze me

haven't had a boat sink in awhile but i thought this would be fun to post. i was out at lake Mojave, launching at princess cove and got to watch some launch ramp entertainment. It is a steep ramp and when the owner of this boat tried to launch, the strap on the front failed and the boat just rolled right off the back of the trailer. It took 2 big wreckers to pick up the boat and put it back on. Bet that was an expensive day at the lake
