🍺 Visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter? There's one drink you simply have to try.

Butterbeer! ⚡✨

Despite the name, Butterbeer is completely nonalcoholic, so guests of all ages can enjoy it. It's one of Universal Orlando's most iconic treats and a must for Harry Po.tter fans and first time visitors alike. 💙

So what does it taste like?

Imagine a creamy butterscotch flavored drink topped with a rich, sweet foam. It's refreshing, a little nostalgic, and unlike anything else you'll find in the parks. There are even different versions to choose from, including cold, frozen, and hot during the cooler months.

One of my favorite parts of watching someone try Butterbeer for the first time is seeing their reaction. Some people instantly fall in love with it, while others are surprised by its unique flavor. Either way, it's part of the Universal experience and worth trying at least once. 🍻

My recommendation?

If it's your first visit, order one and share it with your travel companion. It's a fun way to experience one of Universal's most famous treats together while deciding which version is your favorite.

🚀 Is one of Disney's most popular attractions also one of its most intense?

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an incredible attraction at EPCOT, and for good reason. Between the immersive storytelling, rotating ride vehicles, and a different classic song playing each time you ride, it's an experience unlike anything else at Walt Disney World. 🎶✨

But here's my honest opinion.

As I've gotten older, I've noticed that indoor thrill rides affect me differently than they used to. While I still think Guardians is one of Disney's most impressive attractions, it's also one that can trigger motion sickness for some guests because of the spinning ride vehicles, screens, and backwards launch. 💙

That's why I always encourage my clients to think about more than just the popularity of an attraction. The best Disney vacation isn't about riding everything. It's about enjoying the experiences that fit your comfort level and travel style.

For some guests, Guardians will become their favorite ride in all of Walt Disney World. For others, it may be one to skip. And that's okay! A great Disney vacation looks different for everyone.

🏖️ One of the biggest mistakes I see guests make at Walt Disney World?

Trying to do the parks every single day.

I know it's tempting. You want to experience everything while you're there. But sometimes the best thing you can do for your vacation is slow down. 💙

That's why I almost always recommend planning at least one resort day. If you're staying for a longer vacation, I may even suggest two.

Why?
☀️ Enjoy the pool without feeling rushed.
🍹 Take time to explore your Disney Resort and all the activities it offers.
😌 Recharge before your next park day so you're excited to go back instead of feeling exhausted.

One of the reasons you're paying to stay at a Disney Resort is to enjoy everything it has to offer, not just use it as a place to sleep. Some of my favorite Disney memories have come from relaxing by the pool, grabbing lunch at the resort, or simply taking in the atmosphere.

A well planned rest day doesn't take away from your vacation.
It often makes the rest of your vacation even better. ✨

Make time for Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. 🌲✨

This open air restaurant sits right along Bay Lake, offering beautiful waterfront views, a relaxed atmosphere, and some of my favorite dining on Disney property. It's one of those places that Disney adults and returning guests often discover once and then make it a tradition on every trip. 💙

Here are just a few reasons I recommend it:
🌅 Enjoy a peaceful setting that's a welcome break from the busy parks.
🍔 Order the famous Bison Burger, one of the most talked about menu items at Walt Disney World, or choose from fresh salads, sandwiches, shareables, and handcrafted cocktails.
🚤 Make the journey part of the experience by taking the complimentary boat from Magic Kingdom to Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

The answer is... sometimes. And it depends on how you like to experience the parks. 🎢

Think of a Lightning Lane as a way to spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying your day. Instead of standing in a long standby queue for select attractions, you'll return during a designated time window and use a shorter entrance.

But here's what many guests don't realize...
Not every vacation needs them.
✨ If you're visiting during a busy season, have a short trip, or want to experience as many attractions as possible, Lightning Lanes can be a great investment.
☕ If you're planning a slower paced Disney adults getaway with resort time, leisurely meals, and fewer "must do" attractions, you may not need to purchase them every day.

That's why I don't believe in a one size fits all approach. The best choice depends on your priorities, the time of year you're visiting, and which parks are on your itinerary. 💙

It's rich, refreshing, and the perfect excuse to slow down as you stroll through World Showcase taking in the festive decorations, holiday storytellers, and seasonal entertainment.

That's what I love most about the Festival of the Holidays. It isn't about rushing from attraction to attraction. It's about savoring the experience, discovering something new at each pavilion, and creating a Disney day that feels a little more relaxed. 💙
