✨ Our most magical character interaction at WDW ✨
We have had some incredible character interactions in Disney Parks and on DCL. This one with Buzz Lightyear is one of our most memorable.
Whilst we were queuing we got Zachary into his Buzz Lightyear costume - it was too hot to be wearing it all day!
When we got to the front of the queue, Zachary was a little unsure. Buzz took a step back and let Zachary settle, within seconds, Zachary was high-fiving Buzz and holding his hand.
The meet turned into the most magical experience for us as Buzz headed back to Star Command, walking Zachary with him 💚💜
Zachary didn’t want to let go of Buzz and stood blowing kisses and waving. When Zachary did let go and Buzz headed to Star Command, Zachary said “One more” 🥹❤️
Moments like this can’t be engineered, it’s just about letting the magic take over. Buzz saw his mini-Buzz and took time for the interaction, allowing an initially hesitant Zachary to relax and creating a core memory.
That evening as Michael was putting Zachary to bed, Zachary picked up his Buzz Lightyear plush and said “Bubba Hand” - remembering that moment from earlier in the day and he still talks about it now, over a year later. And we will remember this moment forever.
𝔹𝕠𝕟𝕦𝕤 𝕋𝕚𝕡: Pack a couple of extra t-shirts with different characters or a character outfit. If you do a character meet and greet, you can quickly swap them into a t-shirt or costume of that character whilst in the queue. It makes the character interaction extra special and makes for incredible photos (even without the Star Command walk, those photos were so magical!) 💜💚
