Earlier this month we spent a week at Walt Disney World for the first time as a family of 4! Here is my honest review of traveling to WDW with a 3 year old and 3 month old! 👇🏼
✨Overall experience ✨
We had a lot of fun but it was definitely chaotic at times. We had to plan our days around naps, feeding, pumping, and breaks. This trip took the meaning of Disney tired to a whole other level (I was more tired than during D***y). I barely took any photos. We have one family photo over 6 days. Zero castle pictures. However, that’s because we were just present in the moment! Memories are more important than pictures!
✨Hotel✨
We stayed at the Cars Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation and 10/10 would stay there again in this room! We love this resort for 2 main reasons. First, the skyliner is wonderful because there’s no breaking down strollers! Next, the theming is perfect for little ones. We spent an evening just walking the resort looking at all the characters and decor!
✨Park Days ✨
We maybe rode or watched 1-3 rides and/or shows at each park. We only did half days and came back early or started our days late. However this was a big trip for rides because we rode our first “big kid” ride! Our son LOVED Star Tours and Smugglers Run! He hasn’t stopped talking about it since and ready to go again! We didn’t make it to any night time shows or parades and that was perfectly OK. Getting to bed was more important.
So while we did “less” on this trip than normal, it was nice to slow down. Sometimes we get caught up in doing everything, but it’s OK to have Disney trips that are more focused on quality over quantity. We still made magical memories and so excited for our next visit to try more big kid rides!
