✨ Disney tip from someone who has seen a LOT of Disney vacations ✨

Most first-time families spend months planning what rides they want to do...

But almost nobody plans for what can make or break their trip:

✨ Day 5 Part 2: Pompeii 🇮🇹🏛️✨

After spending the morning exploring beautiful Capri, we took a boat ride back and then headed by bus to Pompeii where we enjoyed some tasty pizza before starting a guided tour through the ancient ruins 🍕🤍

Pompeii truly felt like its own city frozen in time. There was so much history to take in, from the streets and homes to the preserved buildings and artifacts. It’s heartbreaking to think about the tragedy that happened to the people who lived there when Mount Vesuvius erupted, but also absolutely incredible how much of the city is still standing and preserved today after all these years 🥺✨

We learned that Pompeii was buried under volcanic ash in 79 AD and remained hidden for nearly 1,700 years before being rediscovered, which is why so much of the city was preserved so well! 🇮🇹🌋

Pompeii is one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world, welcoming over 2 million visitors each year who come to experience the history and preservation firsthand 🇮🇹

And to end the night… the BEST hugs from Goofy 🇮🇹🤍 Because somehow a hug from Goofy in Italy just heals the soul a little extra 🫶🏼✨

🇮🇹✨Day 4: Rome, Part 2

To end our amazing day in Rome, we headed back to the ship for Pirate Night and honestly... Disney Cruise Line does it SO well every single time E Even though it was a little different than the Caribbean version, it was still such a fun experience and one of my favorite themed nights onboard!

From the pirate outfits and themed dining to the energy around the ship, it truly turns into one giant party at sea & T Everyone gets so into it and it makes the night feel extra magical. There's just something about dancing on the deck, seeing everyone dressed up, and embracing your inner pirate after a long port day!

One thing Disney does best is creating entertainment that makes you feel immersed in the experience and Pirate Night is definitely one of those moments🇮🇹🏴‍☠️🐭

✨ Day 4 Part 1: Roma 🇮🇹🏛️✨

As Lizzie McGuire said… “Hey now, hey now… this is what dreams are made of” ✨🤍 Getting to explore Rome with somebody I love (besides bc I love you too lol) has been such a surreal experience and I truly love doing this life with my husband Anthony 🫶🏼 I’m also very glad I convinced him just about 4 weeks ago to book this trip because WOW… what a dream this has been 🇮🇹

We docked in Civitavecchia Port, our gateway to the beautiful city of Rome! We decided to do a hop-on hop-off bus tour which was the perfect way to see so many iconic landmarks in one day 🤍 We visited Vatican City, explored the Spanish Steps, tossed coins into the Trevi Fountain, and even drove by the iconic Colosseum 🏛️✨ Every stop truly felt like stepping into a history book!

The day goes by SO fast in Rome, but we’re so happy we got a little taste of the city together ✨ I was fortunate enough to visit about 6 years ago, but it was Anthony’s first time and getting to experience it with him made it even more special 🥹

Of course we enjoyed all the essentials… pasta 🍝 gelato 🍨 un caffè ☕️ and yes… some shopping too 😅🛍️

✨ We learned that Rome is nicknamed “The Eternal City” because ancient Romans believed the city would last forever! Even after thousands of years filled with wars, emperors, and change, so much of the city’s history, architecture, and culture still remains today. Walking through Rome truly feels like stepping back in time while still experiencing the beauty and life of a modern city 🇮🇹✨

✨ Day 3 Part 2: Firenze 🇮🇹🤎✨

After exploring Pisa in the morning, we headed to Firenze, also known as Florence, and instantly fell in love with the beauty and history of the city 🥹 We learned that two important symbols of Florence are the lion and the iris flower, both representing the city’s strength, beauty, and rich history.

We spent the afternoon shopping, walking through the beautiful streets, and taking in so much Renaissance art and architecture that truly made the city feel like an open-air museum ✨

Florence is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance and was home to famous artists like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Botticelli 🎨🇮🇹

✨ Leaning into forever, one adventure at a time 🇮🇹✨

Day 3 of our Mediterranean cruise brought us to the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa and honestly… pictures do not do it justice 🤍 Seeing it in person was such a surreal moment, especially getting to experience it together.

Fun fact: the tower actually began leaning during construction in the 12th century because the foundation was built on soft ground! It now leans at about 4 degrees and has become one of the most famous landmarks in the world 🇮🇹✨

We spent the morning exploring Pisa before heading to Florence for the afternoon and WOW… Italy just keeps getting more beautiful with every stop 🤎 Part 2 of Florence up next! ✈️🇮🇹

Day 2 was simply MAGICAL ✨🚢💛

Our first official day at sea was exactly what we needed to relax, recharge, and adjust to the 6-hour time difference 😅☀️ We started the morning with the Royal Gathering meeting so many princesses 👑✨ and I had the CUTEST caramel latte with Rapunzel in the foam art 💜☕️

After that, we ended up at a silent dance party and it was honestly one of the funniest and most unexpected moments of the day 😂🎧 Everyone dancing to different songs while trying to figure out what everyone else was listening to was pure chaos in the best way!

I also spent some time working from my balcony (travel advisor life never fully stops 💻🌊), soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine, and just appreciating getting to experience this with my husband 🫶🏼

To end the night, we watched The Golden Mickeys ✨🎭 which feels like a Broadway-style Disney award show filled with live singing, dancing, gorgeous costumes, and so much Disney magic 💫 Then came formal night with piano music in the lobby, photo ops, Mickey dressed to impress 🐭🎩, and rotational dining at Animator’s Palate 🎨

This cruise is already creating memories I know we’ll never forget 🚢
