Full review Part #1
We are heading home from our stay at Universal Kids Resort (July 28-30), and I thought I would share my honest experience for anyone thinking about booking a trip.
We stayed in a Family Suite (2 adults and 4 kids ages 11, 10, 8 and almost 8). We arrived around 2:30 p.m. Check-in took about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived but it became available by the time we finished! We brought all of our stuff up to our room, changed clothes and headed to the parks, getting in around 3. We were able to ride almost all the rides before the park closed for the night at 7.
The Family Suite was wonderful! It was very spacious, clean, and had plenty of room for all six of us. We never really felt cramped, which is a huge plus when traveling with a big family. The bathroom is in a bit of a weird place across from the bunk beds and it would have been nice to have a split bathroom. But not too bad. Lots of hot water for everyone to take showers! Lots of storage space! There is a nightlight switch in the bedroom that is very bright so I would recommend bringing something to put over it. We used a bandaid and our key card! The pull out sofa is huge! Wide enough to sleep 3 people if needed! The bed in the bedroom is also very large…pretty close to a king size bed.
One thing that really stood out during our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered, both at the hotel and inside the park, was incredibly friendly and helpful. They all seem to be figuring things out too! Unfortunately there is no app so you have to rely on the team members and what is on the map!
