✨️ Is it worth it?! Disney World Edition ✨️
Where should you splurge at Disney and where should you save?
Honestly, it depends on your family. 🏰
There is no one perfect Disney budget because every family has different needs, priorities, ages, energy levels, sensory needs, eating habits, and travel styles.
Some upgrades are absolutely worth it for one family and a total waste for another.
✨ Staying on Disney property
If you are not rope dropping, taking midday breaks, or using Disney transportation, it may not feel worth the extra cost.
But if you want to avoid renting a car, stay close to the magic, use resort transportation, and make breaks easier, it can be totally worth it.
✨ Dining Plan
If your family is made up of light eaters, picky eaters, or kids who snack more than they meal, you may be better off ordering groceries and paying out of pocket.
But if you plan to do a sit-down meal most days, enjoy character meals, or want your food budget built in ahead of time, it may make a lot of sense.
✨ Park Hopper tickets
If this is your first trip, or you have little ones who need slower park days, park hopping can feel like too much.
But if you have been before, know what your family likes, or only have 2 to 3 park days, Park Hopper tickets can help you get more out of your time.
✨ Resort room category
A preferred room or better location may not matter if your family is barely in the room.
But if you have a child with sensory needs, anxiety, stroller naps, or a family that needs quick breaks, being closer to transportation or the main building can be a sanity saver.
✨ Souvenirs
Buying everything in the parks can add up fast.
But setting a souvenir budget ahead of time, bringing a few surprise items from home, and letting each kid pick one special thing can help you save without feeling like you are saying no all day.
⚡️Bonus round: Lightning Lanes 🤣
In my opinion, this is one place I usually recommend building into the cost of the trip.
Especially for families who need less waiting, more structure, and fewer meltdowns from long lines. It can make the entire day feel more manageable.
The point is not to spend the most money.
The point is to spend money where it actually helps your family have a smoother trip. ✨
