July’s Calendar was full! Lots of home stuff took up my calendar in July but I did manage to squeeze some travel time in with my travel agent besties❤️

For my clients, this month was a great mix of last minute travel and fall/winter break planning and I’m so thankful for clients turned friends that trust me to help plan ALL THE THINGS.

And now it’s August… which means back to school!

🎉 Happy Birthday, Harry Potter! ⚡

The boy who lived was born on this day in 1980 — and I’m celebrating because his story is a story that shaped me. An older friend handed me a battered copy of the first Harry Potter book in 5th grade (I still posses this copy…) and it completely ruined me — in the best way. That series came at a time when I needed it most and hijacked my childhood and gave me somewhere better to be: a world where the smallest, weirdest kid in the room could still save everyone.

If Harry Potter is special to you too, there’s no better adventure than a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. Wander through Hogsmeade’s snow-dusted rooftops, sip a butterbeer, and step inside Hogwarts castle itself. In Diagon Alley (my personal fave), you can explore Ollivanders, watch a dragon breathe fire above Gringotts, grab a meal at the Leaky Cauldron, and explore the dark twists and turns of Knockturn Alley.

However you celebrate — rereading the books, rewatching the movies for the 47th time, or yelling “I solemnly swear I am up to no good” at nobody in particular — happy birthday, Harry. You’re still terrible at Potions and I still love you. 🐍⚡🦉

Those lions sure were sleepin.
But don’t you snooze on a post-rain safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Some animals will hide from the rain but so many more are out and about, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures. Once you’re done having a blast and consuming all the yummy things, take a couple people-free Millennium Falcon photos and end with a leisurely stroll through an empty Galaxy’s Edge on your way out.

Starting off a little summertime Walt Disney World getaway with my agency besties!

Summer trips to Disney are totally DOABLE.

Priorities?
1. Come at it with optimism! Don’t let the heat kill your good mood. There’s always so much to be grateful for here.
2. Hydrate and TAKE BREAKS. Don’t hesitate to grab free water from quick service locations or to leave the parks for some resort time. Don’t let FOMO make you go so hard you drop. The park will still be here after your break.

Happy Birthday to Donald Duck!

Donald Duck has an amazing history as a character and he has been so very loved since his June 9, 1934 debut in The Wise Little Hen.

Today, Donald is such a big park of Disney magic. And when you’re lucky enough to see him around the parks and resorts at Disney? This guy literally NEVER disappoints. Need a good laugh? Go meet Donald Duck.
He’s hilarious, mischievous, and irreverent in a way that makes me belly laugh every time I get to see him.
And I love it that it takes him almost zero persuasion to tell you he’s #1 and shake his tail feathers. Sometimes right in your face 🤣

So I hope Donald has the best day being the center of attention 💛

The Carousel of Progress is closing this summer and then undergoing a MAJOR update.

We’ll get to see John, Sarah and the whole family experience new decades, when the updated attraction re-opens at Disney World in 2027
