Luxe Travel by Gunes

Luxe Travel by Gunes Curated luxury travel planning services...taking care of details so you can relax! I am a huge Disney enthusiast (Minnie forever!).

From a very young age, I have been traveling with my family and always have loved to travel. In fact, my first international trip was as a toddler on a transatlantic flight to Turkiye with my parents. I clearly caught the travel bug during that fateful journey, as I since have visited 47 countries (and counting!), as well as 46 states (including Alaska and Hawaii), and have been on countless cruis

es. Cruises, luxury travel, and family vacations are among some of my favorite things (in addition to coffee, wine, and chocolate). I also love to blog about my travels and am a bit of a photog (check out fotogenictravel.com for the latest on those fronts). Whether I’m staying in a fine hotel or chatting with a call center agent on the phone, the experience of superb customer service absolutely delights me. In addition, I am passionate about details and know how to read the fine print (proven by my law degree). Elevated service and attention to detail is what sets me apart as a travel advisor. I elevate your travel planning experience through a premier level of service. I handle every detail on your behalf and save you from all the hassles that a person typically experiences when planning a vacation. For example, you no longer have to spend days or even weeks investigating itineraries: I will do all that research for you, or I already may have a perfect vetted and customizable itinerary available. What about those confusing cancellation and refund policies? I am here to translate and advise on booking terms, putting your mind at ease. There's no need to wait to actually travel to begin relaxing. From the moment we first interact, I will alleviate any planning stress and will design the perfect getaway, serving as your quintessential wanderlust resource all along the way.

Do you start thinking about your next trip while you’re still on one, or wait until you’re home? Some people are always planning ahead, looking up ideas as soon as they come. Others just enjoy the moment and figure it out later.

📍Glasgow, Scotland

Glasgow hits you with its own kind of enchantment. The mix of grand Victorian buildings, bold street art, and that famously warm Glaswegian humor gives the city a pulse you feel right away. Before long, you’re wandering through lanes, slipping into lively pubs, and letting the city’s unpolished charm pull you in at its own easy pace.

Do you want the best travel experiences? Then, do not wait to plan. If you do, then the best hotels will be gone, and instead of being able to curate special activities, you may be left with scraps. For a more personalized trip, you should start planning with a travel advisor as far in advance as possible. Below are my recommendations as to when you should start planning if you want first choice, not leftovers:

✅ Europe in the summer: Plan it October - January. If you wait until the spring, you may be too late. The best hotels and rooms will be booked, flights will be expensive, and you will be stuck trying to piece things together.

✅ Spring break (Mexico or the Caribbean): Plan it August - October. Most families book early. That beachfront suite you want will be snapped up quickly.

✅ African safaris: Plan it 9-12+ months ahead. Top lodges only have 6-10 rooms, and the best guides will be booked solid very far in advance.

✅ Fall travel to wine country: Plan it April - June. Peak season in Napa and Tuscany is October during the harvest season. Book early to ensure you don’t miss out.

✅ Festive holiday travel: Plan it January - March. It may seem super-early, but last-minute December can be very expensive and chaotic.

✅ Milestone trips (honeymoons, big birthdays, anniversaries): Plan it 6-12+ months ahead. Give yourself plenty of time to plan an amazing trip, rather than winging it at the last minute.

If you want travel that feels effortless and elevated, timing is everything! Contact me today to start the planning process.

Zurich feels calm in the best way. Between the lake, old streets, and mountain views, it's a city that lets you explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. Even a simple afternoon of walking around and taking in the sights and sounds ends up being a good day.
