The Carousel of Progress had its final show yesterday, and is officially closed for refurbishment. It’s set to reopen in 2027.
According to WDW News Today, “The new version of Carousel of Progress expected to open next year will begin in the 1960s. A new introduction will feature a Walt Disney animatronic in a scene inspired by the 1964 special “Disneyland Goes to the World’s Fair.”
The ride scenes will then be set in 1969, 1985, 1999, and the possible future.”
