Day 1! EMBARKATION DAY!
We started our day waking up at an airport hotel, having a great breakfast, and taking a bus to Port Canveral! This process was so simple, and Go Port was very friendly and efficient.
Our Port Arrival Time (or PAT) was 2-2:15 but we were able to get on line before 1:30 and we were on the ship by 1:45!
After checking out our room, which was ready by the time we embarked, and decorated for my daughter’s birthday (for an extra cost) we headed up to Cabana’s for lunch!
I’m not much for a buffet, but my kids love the all you can eat fries, even though my weirdo youngest dips hers in water 🙃. But I do love the all you can eat shrimp and their salads are great and change every day!
After lunch we headed out of Cabanas and right to the pool/stage for the Sail Away Deck Party in which I strangely didn’t get a picture of video of, but then we were off!
I was excited as there was supposed to be a launch as we were sailing away but the launch was delayed a few hours, so we missed it!
We had the later seating this cruise, and I will be honest- I’ll never choose the earlier dinner again! I just had my youngest take a bit of a later nap. But we found that not only were the dining rooms less crowded, but so were the earlier shows! We had the best servers this time, Joel and Fajar. They were so attentive, charismatic, and full of magic tricks for the kids! My youngest daughter LOVED her daily Mickey Bar!
Before heading to our stateroom after dinner, we ran into Minnie! My oldest is starting to be “too cool” for the characters and my youngest is a little timid of most, and obviously my youngest is just the right age, but everyone loves Minnie!
Also, don’t forget magnets when going on a Disney Cruise! It is so fun to decorate the stateroom doors! Since it was my daughter’s 9th birthday during the cruise, we had a theme!
