I know this might be a controversial opinion... 😅

There are bigger rides.
There are newer rides.
There are definitely rides with shorter songs. 😂

But there is just something about It's a Small World that feels like Disney to me.

Maybe it's the nostalgia.
Maybe it's the simple reminder to slow down for a few minutes.
Maybe it's because every time I ride it, I look over and see the wonder on my boys' faces.

I didn't grow up going to Disney. In fact, I didn't visit for the first time until I was 28 years old.

Maybe that's why creating these memories with my own children means so much to me. I get to experience the magic through their eyes while making up for all the Disney trips I never had as a kid. ❤️

So while it may not be everyone's favorite ride, it will always be one of mine.

Packing for Disney and these are a few things that ALWAYS make it into my park bag! 🎒✨

🔋 Portable Charger
Between taking hundreds of pictures, checking wait times, mobile ordering, and using the My Disney Experience app all day, my battery doesn't stand a chance without one.

🌬️ Stroller Fans
I cannot stress enough how much we love these! We usually bring one for each of the boys and one attached to the stroller handle for me. They are a lifesaver on those hot Florida days.

💧 Refillable Water Bottles
A must-have for our family! We stop at quick-service locations throughout the parks and fill them up with complimentary ice water all day long.

💊 Small Medicine Container
This little thing has saved us more times than I can count. Headaches, sore feet, upset stomachs—you never know what you'll need during a long park day.

👜 Large Carabiner
One of my favorite Disney hacks! We clip extra bags, souvenirs, and snacks right onto the stroller instead of carrying everything ourselves.

🔥 Disney Hot Take 🔥

I will absolutely watch Happily Ever After at least once every trip (usually from the Dessert Party because it's one of my favorite splurges 😍)...

BUT...

After I've seen it once, you'll probably find me riding attractions during the fireworks. 🎆

Shorter wait times.
A completely different view of the park.
And honestly? Watching the fireworks while soaring above Fantasyland on Dumbo might be one of my favorite views in all of Disney World.

So here's my hot take:

Watching Happily Ever After once? A must-do.

Riding attractions while everyone else is watching it? Even better. 👀

I'll go first... 👀

One piece of Disney advice I don't always agree with:

"You have to stay from rope drop until fireworks."

Listen... if that's your thing, go for it!

But sometimes the best Disney memories happen when you slow down, take a midday break, enjoy your resort, or call it a day before everyone is exhausted.

Not every Disney trip has to be a marathon. ✨

Some families collect popcorn buckets.

My family apparently collects pictures of my son attempting to conquer giant Disney donuts. 😂

Getting one of those massive donuts from Joffrey's has become a tradition on every trip, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

The donut disappears.
The memories don't.

Our Disney tradition isn't a ride, a restaurant, or even a park. ❤️

It's making time for the moments that never make it onto the itinerary.

✨ The spontaneous dance parties in front of the castle
✨ Stopping everything to watch the Toy Soldiers march by
✨ Discovering that my son apparently cannot walk past the Moana fountains without sticking his head in them 😂

The rides are amazing.
The snacks are delicious.
But somehow it's these little moments that become everyone's favorite memories.
