Happy Sunday morning friends, it’s story time…

Our very 1st trip taking our girls to Disney World… we did it ALL wrong.😩

Luke wasn’t born yet, our girls were so little, and we just didn’t know any better. Trying to save money, we stayed off Disney property at a hotel in Orlando. At the time, I thought I was being smart. A hotel is a hotel, right?

Boy, was I wrong.

Every morning we loaded up the girls, drove to Disney, paid for parking, and made our way into the parks. Then after a LONG Disney day, we had to load everyone back up and drive back to Orlando.

The girls were exhausted. We were exhausted. And yes…Mama lost her cool a couple of times.

Did we make amazing memories? Absolutely. I wouldn’t trade them for anything. But looking back, I realize how much harder we made that trip simply because we didn’t stay on property.

The next time we went we stayed at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and WOW. That’s when it clicked.

Need a break? Go back to the resort.

Tired little ones? Let them rest and head back later.

Early Theme Park Entry? YES.

Disney transportation instead of driving after walking 20,000 steps? YES PLEASE.

It completely changed Disney for us. There is a Disney BUBBLE, people… and trust me, you want to stay in it!

That’s one reason out of several why I’m so passionate about helping families plan Disney now. Because I’ve been the mom who didn’t know. ✨ VAL, BE FOR REAL… ✨

Is the Disney Dining Plan actually worth it?!

Okay, here’s my answer…

Yes Sometimes. And I know that’s probably not the answer you wanted. 😂

I don’t automatically recommend the Dining Plan to every family because, truthfully, not everyone will get their money’s worth out of it.

BUT… there are families I absolutely LOVE it for.

If you’re someone who wants your vacation to feel as close to “already paid for” as possible, loves character meals, plans on eating at several table-service restaurants, and doesn’t want to cringe every time you see a Disney food bill… 👀

The Dining Plan can be SO nice.

Could you possibly spend less paying out of pocket? Yep.

But there’s also something to be said for walking into Disney knowing your meals are already taken care of. 🙌🏼

For me, it’s not always about whether you saved $37.42 by the end of the week. 😂 Sometimes the value is in the convenience and peace of mind.

So…

Trying to spend the absolute least possible? I’d probably skip it.

Want the convenience, have some character meals planned, and love having your vacation expenses paid ahead of time? I’d definitely consider it.

The Dining Plan isn’t a must… but for the RIGHT family, I absolutely think it’s worth it!

Life lately… a little bit of ✨pixie dust✨ and a whole lot of CHAOS!!

Since school started back, I feel like we have been going 100 miles an hour! Three kids, three different schools, a senior (how are we already here?! 😭), senior pictures, senior sunrise, dance, dance and MORE dance — including two elite teams for my middle girl — and just trying to get everybody where they need to be when they need to be there.

On top of all of that, my father-in-law spent six weeks in Houston at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and we are so thankful to finally have him back home. ❤️

And because apparently we didn’t have enough going on… we decided THIS was the perfect time to redo our girls’ bedrooms. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 We’ve painted, pulled up carpet and are laying new flooring to match the rest of the house. So currently their furniture and belongings are EVERYWHERE, and my house looks like a tornado came through it. Send help.

Meanwhile, I’ve still been behind the scenes working with my clients, sending quotes, planning trips and taking care of several families who have been traveling. ✈️🏰🛳️

But social media? Yeah… she has been neglected. 😂

I know you haven’t seen much of me on here lately, but I promise I’m still here! Life is finally starting to feel a little more routine… or at least our chaos is becoming routine.

So it’s Monday, y’all, and I’m determined to get back to showing up on here!

I hope you have the BEST Monday! And just know that even when I’m quiet on social media, I’m still behind the scenes creating a little pixie dust, planning vacations and taking care of my people. 🩷
