If you’re a teacher mom sitting in your (non-air conditioned) classroom right now thinking:

“I would love to take my family to Disney this summer… but I am NOT paying thousands of dollars to sweat to death.”😂☀️

Fair.

Summer Disney is hot.

Like:
✨ your Stanley is fighting for its life.

✨ your makeup gave up at 10am.

✨ someone in your family is suddenly dramatic because they’re hungry and overheated.

HOT 😂

But honestly?

The families who have the BEST summer Disney trips are not the ones trying to power through the heat all day long.

They’re the ones who know:
✔ where the AC is.
✔ when to slow down.
✔ when to take a midday break.
✔ how to pace their trip without feeling like they’re “wasting time”.

Because contrary to popular belief…

You do NOT need to suffer your way through Disney to have a magical trip.

(It’s the vacation you saved up for and dreamed about so you definitely should not be suffering!)

A good summer Disney strategy changes EVERYTHING.

I’m curious, who is almost at the end of the school year and consider May the start of summer vacation?

if you’re planning to go on memorial Day, yes the crowds will tick up a bit, but you’re still not in the thick of it with summer wave of visitors. It really is a great time of year to go!

May at Walt Disney World = longer park hours, beautiful weather, and just enough sunshine before the Florida summer heat kicks in ☀️🌴✨

As a middle school teacher and mom, Memorial Day weekend at Disney honestly sounds like the perfect way to survive the end-of-school-year chaos 😅

And EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival in May? Absolutely gorgeous 🌸✨

It’s May the Fourth SOOOO I have to ask....

Which of these traps are you falling into?

Most of us think they have to choose:

👉 Spend half the day in Galaxy’s Edge (aka “Star Wars Land”)

OR

👉 Skip it so they don’t miss everything else in Hollywood Studios.

And that’s where the stress and overthinking starts! (I think my middle name should be over thinker 😉).

The truth?

You can absolutely experience Star Wars AND enjoy the rest of the park…

you just need a plan ✨

✔ Plan your day keeping locations and higher crowd times in mind.

✔ Use Lightning Lanes strategically.

✔ Don’t try to do everything.

That’s how you avoid the long waits, the backtracking, and the “why did we do this? We aren’t even huge Star Wars people?!” moments.

Because Disney shouldn’t feel rushed—it should feel like a vacation.
