🚌 Bus Transportation & Alternate Address Requests | 2026–2027 School Year

As you complete your student's online registration in Infinite Campus, don't forget to update their transportation information.

âś… Will your child ride the school bus every day?
Select "Yes" for bus transportation.

❌ Will your child NOT ride the bus on a consistent basis? (at least once a week)
Select "No."

📍 Need an Alternate Address?
If your student will ride the bus to or from the same alternate location every school day and the alternate address is located within the same school zone your child attends (such as a daycare, grandparent's home, babysitter, or family member), you must complete an Alternate Address Request Form.

Complete the Alternate Address form in your Infinite Campus Portal.

⚠️ Alternate addresses are for consistent daily transportation only and are not for occasional changes. (If the address is out of zone the request will be denied)

Planning ahead helps us provide safe and efficient transportation for every student. Thank you!

We’ve been conducting bus evacuations across the county over the past several weeks—and for good reason!

These drills keep us compliant, prepared, and focused on providing the safest transportation possible for our students. 🚌

A huge thank you to our incredible drivers and monitors for their hard work and dedication in teaching students how to safely exit the bus, where to go once outside, and how to use emergency exits like roof hatches and windows.

Knowing what to do in an emergency can make all the difference. We’re proud to make safety a top priority every single day!

Today our school buses remain parked on the lot as schools are closed due to inclement weather. ❄️🚌

In Transportation, we are thankful to be part of a school system that prioritizes safety and looks ahead to protect our students, drivers, monitors, and shop personnel by keeping these big buses off the road when conditions could pose a risk.

Enjoy the unexpected day off, stay safe and warm, and we’ll see you bright and early tomorrow morning with our lights flashing! 🚍✨

Due to updated reports of possible inclement weather and out of the abundance of caution, the Troup County School System will delay opening of all schools, departments and buildings for two hours on Thursday, March 12, 2026. For parents of children who ride a school bus, please plan on the bus being two hours behind the normal schedule.

A breakfast will be available for students upon arrival at school. We will make an additional update if necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused. Thank you for your support and patience as we ensure the safety and well-being of students.

In school transportation, we don’t always get to share the positive side of what happens each day. Too often the focus is on the frustrations some have with school buses being on the road. But moments like this deserve to be recognized.

Recently, one of our activity drivers experienced a mechanical issue while transporting students to an event. Thanks to the driver’s calm response, quick thinking, and commitment to safety, the situation was handled professionally from start to finish. The students were kept safe, the issue was addressed, the trip was able to continue, and everyone was transported back home safely.

We’re grateful for drivers who go above and beyond to keep our students safe and represent our transportation team so well. Please help us give this driver a big thank you for a job well done and thanks coach for sharing! 👏🚌

THANK YOU!

Today, more than 20 bus drivers responded immediately—without notice—to provide aid to one of our schools in need. Drivers and buses were quickly staged and ready to transport students as needed, ensuring support and safety for the students of the Troup County School System.

Your willingness to step up at a moment’s notice speaks volumes about your dedication, professionalism, and heart for our kids. Thank you, as always, for going above and beyond. You truly are rockstars every single day, and TCSS is better because of you!
