On January 19, 2022, the old

terminal at Lafayette Regional Airport saw its last passengers depart and arrive and closed its doors for good. The terminal served the community for over six decades. The New LFT Terminal opened its doors to the public for the first time in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 20.
