MOON CORONA GLOWING ABOVE A DARK FOREST

A quiet night scene where the Moon shines through thin clouds, creating soft rainbow-colored rings above the silhouetted pine trees.

This effect is called a lunar corona. It happens when bright moonlight passes through tiny water droplets or ice crystals in thin clouds. Those particles bend and scatter the light, forming colorful rings around the Moon — often blue, green, yellow, orange, and violet.

The dark forest makes the glow feel stronger, while the stars around it add depth to the night sky.

A view like this fits cold mountain forests, northern parks, rural valleys, and quiet winter landscapes where moonlight, thin clouds, and clear dark skies can line up beautifully.
