🚌 ROUTE DEVIATION NOTICE – BAKER CITY & LA GRANDE INTERCITY

⚠️ Highway 30 is closed between Haines and Baker City from April 27th through May 9th, 2026.

During this time, the Intercity Bus Route between Baker City and La Grande will NOT travel through Haines. Please expect an alternate route and possible changes to travel times.

This deviation is in effect: 4/27/26 – 5/9/26

We are not a car dealership. We are a nonprofit. But today? Today we are selling BUSES. 😂

Community Connection of Northeast Oregon has 3 retired transit vehicles up for auction on GovDeals, and honestly, the possibilities are endless. Food truck? Rolling tiny home? World's coolest tailgate vehicle? We are not here to judge. 👀

🚐 BUS #1: 2005 Ford Econoline E-450 Cutaway
201,868 miles. 6.8L V10. Braun utility lift (needs some power). Needs a jump to start and could use a new motor, so she is a fixer-upper for sure. But hey, cheap entry into bus ownership! 🔧

🚐 BUS #2: 2019 Ford Econoline E-450 Cutaway
166,731 miles. 6.8L V10. Working Braun utility lift! Check engine light comes on sometimes (mechanic says it is just a sensor, doesn't affect performance). Comes with all supporting documents, invoices, and maintenance records. This is the cream of the crop, folks. 👑

259,448 miles. 6.8L V10. Running well with no check engine light! Has a functioning ADA ramp and camera system. Some interior seats are worn from years of hauling your neighbors around Northeast Oregon. All part of the charm. 💚

⚠️ Washington Ave is currently closed between Cherry St and 12th St in La Grande.

Effective immediately, the Blue Route will deviate from its regular path:
📍 Maple Street → Washington Ave (rejoining the regular route)

This deviation will remain in effect until Washington Ave reopens.

🚌💙 Transit Driver Appreciation Day is March 18, and we want to take a moment to say thank you to the incredible drivers who keep our communities connected every day.

Our drivers brave the mountain roads of Union, Baker, and Wallowa counties all year long, including during the cold and snowy months, to make sure riders can get to work, medical appointments, school, shopping, and so much more.

Thank you to all of our transit drivers for your dedication, professionalism, and care for the people you serve. Our communities are stronger because of you!

Due to road closures around Washington Ave and Depot St, our Blue and Yellow Routes will be temporarily detoured around the affected areas.
