Meet Frank Silva, Dispatcher at Pemberton Truck Lines!
With decades of experience in the trucking industry, Frank brings an incredible depth of knowledge to the team and plays an important role in keeping operations running smoothly each day.
Frank began his trucking career in 1979 while serving in the United States Army, hauling heavy equipment. Over the years, he has worked across many areas of the industry, hauling everything from refrigerated freight and oversized loads to bridge beams and flatbeds. He even owned five trucks of his own in the 1990s and 2000s and has also served as a driving instructor. With a strong mechanical background and more than 3.5 million miles under his belt, Frank’s experience is second to none.
Frank joined the Specialty side of the company in 2013, where he spent over a decade hauling radioactive freight and earned more than one million miles. Today, he works second shift in dispatch at Pemberton Truck Lines, overseeing the fleet in the evenings, handling breakdowns, assisting drivers and fleet managers, and helping ensure everything stays on track.
When asked what has kept him here, Frank says it is the people and the positive atmosphere. He also appreciates the open-door leadership style that makes everyone feel supported. What Frank enjoys most about his role is working with drivers and coworkers, solving new challenges each day, and building relationships while learning about others’ backgrounds.
Outside of work, Frank enjoys boating and golfing. He spends weekends at the lake in Knoxville and likes hitting local golf courses with friends, often bringing his clubs along when visiting his daughters.
Thank you, Frank, for your years of dedication and the experience you bring to the Pemberton Truck Lines team!
