We are looking for CDL Class A drivers to pull our 53’ Refrigerated Trailers OTR.
Ella Bay Transport is a small family-owned company with 25 Tractors, where you will be treated with respect and not just as a number.
What We Offer:
• Start out at $.63 per mile loaded and $.63 per mile empty.
• Earn up to $.75 per mile loaded
• W-2 Position with weekly direct deposit
• Health Insurance

• 2020 – 2023 Volvo VNL 860 with Automatic Transmissions
• All Trucks have APU’s – Invertors – Refrigerators
What We Require:
• Minimum Age of 23 with a Class A CDL
• 2 Years Continuous Commercial Driving Experience
• Must Have Verifiable Work History
• A Clean MVR, PSP, and Clearinghouse Report
• Current Medical Certificate
• Professional Attitude
• Safety Focused
• Out 2 to 3 Weeks then off for Home-Time

🚨 CVSA International Roadcheck 2025 Begins Today! 🚨 

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) has officially launched its annual International Roadcheck, running from May 13 to May 15, 2025. This 72-hour enforcement blitz is the largest targeted inspection initiative for commercial motor vehicles across North America, with inspectors conducting an average of 15 inspections per minute during this period .  

🔍 2025 Focus Areas: Tires & Hours-of-Service (HOS)

This year’s Roadcheck emphasizes two critical areas: 
• Tires: Inspectors will assess tire condition, tread depth, inflation levels, and overall maintenance. Proper tire care is essential not only for compliance but also for preventing blowouts and improving fuel efficiency . 
• Hours-of-Service (HOS) Compliance: Inspectors will scrutinize drivers’ Records of Duty Status (RODS) for accuracy, ensuring adherence to HOS regulations. This includes checking for electronic logging device (ELD) tampering, improper use of personal conveyance, and other violations . 

✅ Tips to Stay Ahead During Roadcheck

1. Conduct Thorough Pre-Trip Inspections
• Check tire pressure, tread depth, and overall condition. 
• Inspect brakes, lights, and other critical components. 

2. Ensure Accurate and Up-to-Date RODS
• Review logs for completeness and accuracy. 
• Be prepared to present ELD instruction sheets and blank logs if needed. 

3. Verify Driver Credentials
• Ensure all required documents, such as CDL, medical certificates, and insurance, are current and accessible. 

4. Maintain a Clean and Organized Vehicle
• A well-kept truck can make a positive impression during inspections. 

5. Educate and Communicate with Your Team
• Hold safety meetings to discuss inspection procedures and expectations. 
• Encourage open communication regarding any concerns or issues.

Ella Bay Transport is expanding our team in Naples, FL. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Preferably Volvo trucks and Carrier/Utility Trailers

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines and their components
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts
- Utilize power tools to disassemble and reassemble engines

Experience
- Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Knowledge of hydraulics, air brakes, and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to operate power tools effectively
- Certification as a Service Technician or Mechanic is desirable
-Experience working on OTR refrigeration units is a plus.

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will need experience working with a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

This week (April 15-19, 2024), Ella Bay Transport joins the road safety community to spread work zone safety awareness. Work zones present challenges for all road users, particularly large trucks and buses, because of their narrow lanes, sudden stops, traffic pattern shifts, and uneven road surfaces.
It’s critical all road users approach work zones with caution and do their part to keep our roads safe for everyone.
