A reminder that even experienced boaters have days like this.” Well… the day didn’t exactly go as planned! 😂⚓

One minute I was enjoying this beautiful East Tennessee day…

The next minute… I was getting an unexpected tow back to the marina. 🚤➡️

Here’s the thing about boating…

Not every day goes perfectly.

Mechanical issues happen.

Weather changes.

Things break.

The important part isn’t pretending everything is perfect…

It’s staying calm, staying safe, and having a plan.

Today was a good reminder that boating isn’t just about the sunny days and perfect sunsets—it’s also about being prepared when things don’t go according to plan.

The good news?

Everyone is safe, and that’s what matters most. 💙. One more thing… if you own a boat and don’t have a BoatUS or towing membership, this is your reminder to get one. You hope you never need it, but when you do, you’ll be incredibly glad you have it. It’s one of the best investments you can make as a boat owner.

Now… who’s had to be towed before? 🙋🏼‍♀️😂

This video was inspired by one of my followers who reached out after several boats in his area caught fire. Thank you for the suggestion!

Before fueling:
✅ Turn off engines. ✅ Turn off blowers
✅ Turn off electronics
✅ Make sure everyone is off the boat and clear of the fueling area

After fueling:
✅ Check for fuel odors
✅ Run your blower
✅ Never start the engine if you smell fuel

These simple steps can help prevent a dangerous situation on the water.

As boaters, we all love getting out on the water, but taking a few extra minutes during fueling can help protect your boat, your passengers, and everyone around you.

Today, our flag is flying proudly at the marina. 🏴⚓️💕

💩⚓️ It's all fun and games till the sh***er is full. 🤣

Everyone loves the boating lifestyle...

🌅 Sunset cruises. ⚓️ Days at the sandbar. 🚤 Weekend adventures

But nobody talks about this part. 😂

Today was pump-out day, and while it may not be glamorous, it's an important part of being a responsible boat owner.

A properly maintained waste system keeps our waterways clean and helps everyone enjoy the water.

So here's your friendly Captain Barbie reminder:

⚓️ Pump out your tank regularly. ⚓️ Use designated pump-out stations. ⚓️ Never discharge waste into the water. ⚓️ Leave the waterways better than you found them

Boating is freedom... but it also comes with responsibility.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm retiring these surgical gloves. 🤣🚤💩
