Magic Kingdom, very quietly, made a little shift this August. If you’re traveling with kids this Fall, here’s why it may benefit you 👀
First, here’s what’s new:
✨ Festival of Fantasy (daytime) Parade moves from 3:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
✨ Starting late August, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away moves from 8:45 pm to 8:30 pm.
✨ Starting late August, Happily Ever After fireworks moves from 10:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
➡️ This changes how I plan Magic Kingdom days for my family and my clients, especially those families with little kids.
🎠 With earlier entertainment, comes more ease to plan an effective mid-day break, rather than heaving over-heated, overwhelmed, and melting down kiddos (and parents 😅)
Here’s my recommendation while these changes are in affect:
1️⃣ Two Magic Kingdom days. Split your time so you’re not trying to fit everything into one day, ultimately failing to be present and in the moment.
2️⃣ Build in a true mid-day rest and reset. After the 2:00 pm parade, return to your resort for naps and/or a pool break, between 3 and 7:00 pm. Return to Magic Kingdom to enjoy the nighttime entertainment feeling well rested and ready.
If you’re new to my page, hi, I’m DeAnna! I’m a Disney focused Travel Planner and Mom of three littles looking; I’m hopeful to help other families enjoy the magic. So, let’s plan the magic, together 💖
