Starting November 27th on the coast of Georgia, you can ride the “Santa Special Christmas Train” aboard the Georgia Coastal Railway out of Kingsland, GA for one of the state’s most magical holiday experiences! The fun begins at Kingsland Station with a Christmas pre-show before passengers board for a festive ride with Santa and his friends. During the trip, Santa, his elves, Frosty the Snowman, and other holiday characters move through the passenger cars, greeting families, posing for photos, and bringing plenty of Christmas cheer right to your seat. Santa is scheduled to visit every train car personally. For 2026, the main experience takes place in covered open-air railcars with wooden benches facing the center, so dress for cooler weather. Private climate-controlled cabooses are also available for groups. There are no restrooms in the open-air cars or cabooses, so use the station facilities before boarding. Food and drink service is not offered during the ride, but popcorn, snacks, b**r, w**e, and cocktails can be purchased at the station and brought aboard. Trains run rain or shine on select dates through Christmas Eve, making this a fun holiday outing for families.
