I love all the classic rides that they have to showcase!

Silver Dollar City wants America’s kids to help uncover what’s next, launching a free national kids club where big ideas come with a special doorstep delivery, all while inspiring the country’s next generation of builders, creators and craftsmen.

The Mini Miners Crew invites kids ages 5–12 to apply to become members of a special team tasked with sharing ideas for future rides, food and experiences at the park in the Heart of the Ozarks. Selected recruits will receive a custom welcome kit in the mail, complete with an official Mini Miners Crew light-up helmet, personalized membership certificate and club T-shirt.

“For more than 65 years, we’ve been keeping American craftsmanship alive at Silver Dollar City right out in the open where folks can hear the ring of a hammer, see glass shaped in fire and watch something real take form by hand,” said Brandei Clifton, Senior Publicity Manager for Silver Dollar City.

“Those skills are at risk across America. We’re seeing fewer young people step into the trades, and that’s not just a workforce problem; it’s an inspiration problem. Mini Miners is our way of passing the torch. It invites kids to dream and create. If craftsmanship has a home, it ought to have a future too, and we believe that future starts with them.”

Children interested in joining the Mini Miners Crew can visit HERE to upload a short video sharing their big idea. Selected recruits will be featured in park content and may have an opportunity to present their concepts directly to park leaders, proving you don’t have to be all grown up to dream up something big.

The program will conclude with a Mini Miners Meetup on August 14 at Silver Dollar City, where the crew will be part of a historic moment at the park.

“At its heart, the Mini Miners Crew is about much more than what arrives in the mail,” Clifton added. “It’s about celebrating the spirit of creativity, craftsmanship and family that built Silver Dollar City from the ground up. We’re so excited to meet our miners.”

Space in the mine is limited. Applications for the Mini Miners Crew are now open through June 30 at silverdollarcity.com/mini-miners.

HURRICANE HARBOR NEW JERSEY TO OPEN FOR THE 2026 SEASON SATURDAY, MAY 30th

Water park season officially begins as warmer summer weather arrives in New Jersey!

Hurricane Harbor New Jersey will officially kick off its 2026 season on Saturday, May 30, as warmer summer weather arrives across the region following an unseasonably cool and rainy Memorial Day Weekend.

The opening also arrives alongside one of the best values of the summer season as guests can enjoy unlimited visits to Six Flags Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Wild Safari with a Gold Membership starting at just $8 per month after initial payment. The limited-time offer also includes all-season drinks and is currently extended through June 7.

The award-winning water park will welcome guests back with more than 25 slides, attractions and family water experiences, including signature favorites Tornado, Blue Lagoon, Splash Island and Big Wave Racer.

Guests returning for the 2026 season will also notice a refreshed look throughout Hurricane Harbor New Jersey, including newly repainted structures and enhancements across the property. Paradise Pizza & Grill has received a complete transformation with refreshed interior and exterior spaces designed to elevate the guest dining experience this summer.

“We’re excited to welcome guests back for the start of another summer season at Hurricane Harbor New Jersey,” said Mike Fehnel, Park President of Six Flags Great Adventure. “With warmer weather finally arriving, it’s the perfect time to dive into everything guests love about summer at Six Flags.”

In addition to Hurricane Harbor New Jersey, guests visiting this summer can also experience Six Flags Great Adventure and Wild Safari, including the all-new Shoreline Pier at The Boardwalk opening this season and ongoing construction on the park’s record-breaking 2027 coaster project, currently known as “Project Purple.”

Kings Island Soak City, the Cincinnati area’s premier water park, is now open for daily operations through Aug 16 and weekends Aug. 21-Sept. 7.

Some of the coasters of Six Flags Darien Lake ! Absolutely love the Titan Track on Predator! It makes a huge difference! Ride of Steel is crazy the speed going into the helix’s and straight aways. Tantrum was awesome with the vertical lift hill and awesome elements. We really loved the Zamperla Coasters MotoCoaster!
