Please read 🙏🏼There are many misconceptions about what Travel Agents do, so let’s clear a few things up.
Travel Agents do not:
• Control airline delays or cancellations
• Set hotel or resort policies
• Determine weather conditions
• Create passport or visa requirements
• Control cruise line decisions or itinerary changes
• Control supplier pricing fluctuations
• Spend hours searching every corner of the internet simply to beat a price by a few dollars
While everyone appreciates a good value, a Travel Agent’s role is not simply to locate the lowest possible price — it is to provide clients with reliable options, professional insight, and a travel experience that is well worth the investment.
In many cases, the least expensive option may come with hidden fees, limited flexibility, poor accommodations, inconvenient travel schedules, or little to no support should complications arise. Our focus is centered on quality, service, and peace of mind — not solely the lowest number displayed online.
It is also important to understand that Travel Agents invest significant time into researching destinations, comparing options, coordinating logistics, and building customized travel experiences for clients. In most cases, Travel Agents are not compensated for the time spent researching or planning; compensation is typically earned only after travel has been completed.
Professionalism, patience, and mutual respect go a long way within the travel industry, particularly when navigating circumstances that may be outside of anyone’s control.
