Did you know I have a website? Want to learn more about me? Probably not, I know. But in case you do...it's there. You can read about me, journeys I have been on, journeys I have booked (although not up to date as I have added more), buy some merchandise with my logo and some of my favorite sayings such as, My bucket of f*cks is empty, I quit the rat race. Turns out I was the rat, I hate adulting, Building a new life instead of fixing the old one, Firm no, protecting my peace at all costs and more. Each saying is a available in unisex t-shirts, vneck t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies and in a variety of sizes and colors. If it so pleases you visit: https://jellyuntethered.com/merch.html

Is this a shameless plug to get you to buy some stuff so I can get a tiny cut? Yup. No doubt. I am not rich, not a trust fund baby and have zero income currently. So it's this or Only Fans as Facebook has not monetized me so I am just out here amusing y'all for free every day. Which I will continue to do regardless.

I'd much prefer not to do Only Fans but desperate times call for desperate measures.

If you don't want any merchandise but want to support my journey there are links to my Venmo and PayPal on my site as well.

Towel wars update:

I returned from lunch and my room had been turned down. But no response to my bathrobe person in the tub. Pretty sure that makes it a tie at 2:2. Not sure if I should anticipate something tonight when I return after dinner. Or if we are done here. But, it's definitely their turn and we cannot end in a tie.

Enjoyed lunch in Pinnacle with another solo traveler, David. We shared the clothesline bacon and crab cakes as an appetizer. Then, as always, I got the lamb chops. I am so predictable, honestly. Why change though? They are always perfect.

We arrive in Lisbon late tonight so today is effectively a sea day. Which means my agenda is full. Cappuccino and croissant in Neptune Lounge then a short nap. Lunch in Pinnacle, laps around the ship to get my steps in, respond to Facebook comments, wonder if Susan is still having a sh*tty day and spreading her misery onto others and then prepare for another nap.

Then it will be pack my things as I am being kicked out of my bougee suite tomorrow. I must return to the deck five with the common folks. 🤣 Just kidding. I probably belong in steerage but Holland has not relegated me there yet. So I will accept a verandah on 5 until that day happens.

The towel wars continue with my room stewards, Widi and Wahyu. In case you are new to my page and are not up to speed, I have compiled the series into this one video. Currently the score is 2:1 with the room stewards in the lead. 🤣

Up before the sun this morning.

Last day of this 10 day cruise. But...not for me! I have another 18 days on board and a friend embarking tomorrow when everyone else disembarks.

Imagine being so miserable in life that you take the time to leave a negative comment on a stranger's post where they are clearly having fun. Imagine taking the time to type a word and punctuate with an exclamation point in order put someone down. Imagine feeling satisfied by trying to kill another person's joy.

Respectfully, please fornicate with yourself Susan. The rest of us will be over here laughing and spreading joy and making my room stewards' day.

I have no doubt you are better than the rest of us and are the life of the party.

Day 59 of living on Holland America cruise ships.

Today we were in Gibraltar. I did a three hour tour that took us to see some of the highlights.

Our first stop was Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar, with views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the continent of Africa. There is also a gorgeous mosque there, the Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque, which was built by Saudi royalty in 1996.

Next, we went up the Rock. At the top, we visited a limestone cave, St. Michael's Cave. There are Barbary macaques that just chill up there and watch over the tourists judgmentally. I named one Fred, and he is mine. ❤️

We also stopped at a gorgeous viewpoint overlooking the water, the two continents, and the strait. It was very cool.

But the thing I will remember most about today is the people and the impact they have had on me, and perhaps the impact I have had on them.

I said goodbye to my Canadian friends, Trent and Rhonda just before they disembarked. Rhonda is crafty and makes necklaces, and she made one for me. 😭 I was not expecting that.

Then I grabbed some food in the Lido, and the server plating my chicken told me he follows me on Facebook and loves my posts. I was not expecting that either.

Then, over the past 24 hours, multiple people have commented on a recent post telling me that I have inspired them. That may be the most surprising thing of all.

When I started sharing this journey, I wasn't trying to inspire anyone. I was just documenting my life. The good parts, the hard parts, the uncertainty, the mistakes, and the occasional moments where I somehow end up face-to-face with a monkey on a rock in Gibraltar.

Mostly, I was writing for myself, my friends, and my family.

But somewhere along the way, people started following. And now, every once in a while, someone reminds me that what feels ordinary to me might mean something to someone else.

That is both humbling and a little surreal.

A couple of years ago, I was trying to figure out how to rebuild my own life. Today, a stranger told me my story helped them believe they could change theirs.

That's a gift I never expected to receive.
