Big D was featured in Sports Illustrated in 2002. Little did he know the man he was imitating was John Heisman, head coach at Oberlin College in Ohio. Big D’s father graduated from Oberlin College Medical School, whereas Florence Bell Parker Sanderson graduated from Oberlin College Music Conservatory. Florence great grandson was Robert ‘Bob’ Po***ck. Bob earned a master’s degree in history from Missouri State University. Bob is semi-retired. His work career including working at the Titanic Museum in Branson , Missouri. Invariably, Michigan Sen. William Alden Smith Sr., a colleague of Gov. Cyrus Gray Luce (b. 1824, Windsor, Ohio.) Sen. Smith was a descendant of General Israel Putnam, a founder of the Ohio Assciates. Five American Revolutionary War Veterans are buried in Pioneer Cemetery in Windsor, Ashtabula County, Ohio, home of Mormon Church Migration Studies. Church founders Karl Rigdon and Joseph Smith established the Kirkland Bank in Ashtabula County, Ohio. Capt. Jonathan and Betsey Johnson Parker and U.S. Assistant Solomon Griswold are buried in Pioneer Cemetery. Gen. Putnam ransomed my distant cousin Susannah Willard Johnson from a Canadian Indian Tribe. Susannah and some of her family members taken captive at Fort 4, near Charlestown, New Hampshire.
