Police responded to a Cuban migrant landing overnight at the seawall on South Roosevelt Blvd. No injuries to the 15 people aboard the boat. Border Patrol responded and transported the migrants.

This morning, Key West Police Department received a call from Georgeo Scribano, a resident of St. Petersburg. He recently watched a video featuring our officers managing a drunken tourist and was deeply impressed by their professionalism and effective de-escalation tactics. Georgeo expressed his profound respect for those in Law Enforcement and, in recognition of our officers’ commendable work, he wanted to treat the department to pizza from Big John's Pizza, Pasta, & Subs for lunch. He hopes the department “stays safe” and admires the dedication and challenges our officers face daily. Thank YOU Georgeo!!

You never know what a shift as a police officer will bring. Last night it was a pot belly pig roaming loose on North Roosevelt Blvd. Luckily we were able to locate the owner.
