Key West maybe a little rough when it “officially” opens for tourism on Sunday and that’s okay, as what has been made very clear after Irma over the past few weeks is that it’s the people of this Island and Keys that makes the Keys what it is. The Key’s are no doubt bruised and we can't ignore this has changed the lives for everyone that lives here, but the best of humanity has been seen up and down the keys during these trying times.

If you’re driving to Key West plan a little extra time to stop along the Keys while you are headed to Key West. Passing this picture on from Gilbert's Resort. It shows Keys Houseboats are still afloat after Irma!
Obviously we are not able to reach the houseboats to confirm this or find out the extent of the damage as of yet. But we are feeling very thankful & blessed with the hope this picture shows!

The Houseboats are tied down & tucked in and everyone has been evacuated.
We will keep you posted & as soon Irma has decided she is done we will let you know how we are doing.
Please be safe & have faith that all will get through Irma!

Please family & friends, take this seriously & evacuate if you have not. We can replace a million things in this world...except you. We are hoping & praying Irma swings directions but until then STAY SAFE friends!!
