Since 1990, the Common Gentry Carriage Company, has offered elegance in motion. Our carriages are professionally driven by drivers with years of horsemanship skills, and all of our horses are trained for road traffic. The carriages have lights and turn signals, with slow moving vehicle signs on the back of each carriage. We are fully licensed and insured. Serving all of Grand Rapids and West Michigan.

A big day at the the mall for The Company & Gentry Carriage Company Farm Animal Petting Zoo. On Saturday September 12 th we greeted over 500 children and their parents. The Bunnies, pet sheep,mini Donkey, goats, mini pony, ducks, chickens pet rooster held up through it all . They made lots of new friends . It was adorable to watch as some of the children never saw farm animals in their lives. One of the staff employees of The Tanger Outlet was all enthusiastic about Matthew the pet sheep she brushed and brushed him and he stood there, Just chewing his cud, like life is good , if he could talk I think he would’ve said scratch over my back no get this side he was a little diva.

For all those that don’t own a horse or have no idea how to care for them . Please don’t speculate or assume that our horses are abused and neglected, and not properly taken care of. I have decreased immensely of going in the city of Grand Rapids because of the negativity and the rude vulgar comments from the general public walking down the sidewalks, it’s ridiculous how people have false assumptions and speculate on the care of animals that they have no knowledge of my horses they are family to me. I love them very much. They’re in stalls during hot days in the summer on fans with all the freshwater, and hay they can have all day until the cool evenings in the winter they are blanketed, and they have shelter these horses only work one day a week for a couple hours. A horse can pull triple its weight each horse weighs anywhere from 1990 to 2000 pounds so you do the math a human being can pull my carriage it can roll right along easily on roller bearings. I pull them myself. I weigh 120 pounds. I can pull that Carriage on concrete in and out of the Horse trailers that we transport them in. Each horse has their feet trimmed, and a reset on their shoes every 6 to 8 weeks they have pads in between the bottom of their hoof and the shoe and a special substance to keep them from slipping and sliding on the concrete on the bottom of the shoes it cost a lot of money to maintain these horses. I spend over 1200 a month and they are family. Please share so the public is aware of the love that goes behind the scenes with these horses or come and see for yourself so from now on folks do us a favor if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all or Google Horse care and and stop taking your time and breath to insult us.

A beautiful evening with my horse Prince Edward Sunday evening August 30th thankful he’s doing well after we almost lost him. Last winter lots of TLC tender, loving care went into him.

She said yes, on Monday August 24th Ben Meyer popped the Question riding in our French Vis-a-vis White Carriage pulled by our fabulous Prince Edward. Congratulations Sarria and Ben. What a great ending to a fairy tale romantic story.
